You know...you can also double filter. You can have one in the tent sucking in the air, then put another at the end of the ducting outside the tent so that your fan pushes the air through it a second time. Then make sure that there's no gaps under your doors, etc. so the neighbors don't get a sniff when you do have the tent open.
That makes more sense to me and with the humidity problem you were talking about could I use a dehumidifier in the room and then control the humidity in the tent with a humidifier?

I think the only issue with a grow room is the smell when the tent is opened and living in a residential area. I know you mentioned obviously using a filter in the grow room and you could use a vent. Is there any other solution that could be used for a so called "stealth" grow into a residential area without suspicions being raised etc?
HEPA filters will keep the smell contained to your grow room, as long as the door is closed when you open the tent. After you close the tent... within 20-30 mins all smell will be gone from the room. Without a room filter it could take several hours. It also removes mold/dust from the air, its a win/win.
Here's mine, placed between tent & my door.

I suggest you put the tent in a bedroom, or any other room with a door & get a digital lock for that door. Always lock it before you leave home, incase any nosey landlord drops by.

Overall, relax man... it's not nearly as hard/bad as you think. I was on here 7 months ago asking the same questions. It's relatively simple (all of it). You're all good, get going & have fun!

No, just manages smell & airborne dust/ pathogens. With 2 plants in 5gal soil containers you might not even need a dehumidifier or humidifier. I haven't needed one. AC during summer was necessary though.
