My handwriting is horrific; job requirement. Anyway my 2nd grade teacher who taught Palmer Method would whack me weekly with a ruler on the palm of my hand. If you didn't hold out your hand you got paddled.
Paddles were the weapon of choice for the public schools near me.

Everyone knew when paddling time was.
The schoolmarm/teacher would call the names on her list and escort them into the hall.

Just outside the schoolroom was a building exit.

The exit was double entry/exit. Enter 1 set of doors, then a second set to proceed.

One at a time, the doomed on the list were taken into the "void" between the doors and paddled.

It did not take much to get on that list. Seems I knew how to get an invitation on a regular basis.

Before military school I went to Catholic school from K-8th grade. Corporal punishment was allowed and frequently dealt out. Paddling, hitting with ruler's and being forced to kneel on the marble floor or worse your hands, was common in the 70s. My Dad would say it built character. I'd say I'd like to get a couple of those nuns in a locked room for 5 minutes now that I'm not 8 :bigjoint: . Kids today would lose their minds at some of the stuff they did back then.

Have you ever had a real taco?
I've seen you mention Cave Creek in a post before. There's a huge outdoor tourist trap retail store that sells a lot of metal art and southwestern swag. Did you happen to see it? In the back there's a single flat top and at the time i was there, a tiny abuela was putting out the best tacos I've ever had. You would never had thought that from the outside of the spot.

Never saw it. But I wish I had.

The “salad” which was cabbage, was the least amount of product in the package actually?
At a glance it looked like salad/cabbage with the limes on top. Didn’t realise it was cheese nestled in there!

Still tho. Just seemed a little dear to pay $18 for what is essentially chicken, salad, shredded cheese and flour… but with today’s prices maybe not?

Costco knows what they're doing. They're charging Canadians more to keep prices lower for us here,. I have inside information. Born in Seattle, grew up in Kirkland, but also lived in Issaquah, so I know my shit,

Costco “Murica” is charging $15-$16 usd for the exact kit actually.

You've grown up everywhere and lived everywhere eh? Don’t ever recall you ever typing what your career is though?
