No its not.this is wrong.
oh yes it is!...No its not.
Colour temp of sun is 5900k, HPS 1900-2000kNo its not.
I believe they make HPS as high as 4200k, but i can't tell if thats marketing or not.. HPS emits more of the spectrum, at a higher intensity, than the commercial LEDs I'm aware ofColour temp of sun is 5900k, HPS 1900-2000k
Google told me this
So regardless you’re wrong.I believe they make HPS as high as 4200k, but i can't tell if thats marketing or not.. HPS emits more of the spectrum, at a higher intensity, than the commercial LEDs I'm aware of
This isn't to say LEDs are bad, just that they target specific wavelengths using diodes. HPS have a broader range (of mostly useless yellow light) making them closer to the sun.
By what metric? So regardless you’re wrong.
You stated HPS colour is closer to the sun in colour, and you were wrong.By what metric?
You stated HPS colour is closer to the sun in colour, and you were wrong.
HPS emits more of the spectrum, at a higher intensity. It is closer to the sun than conventional LED. does that make it close? No. Its closer.the only thing you have been right about is that hps has more yellow in it than your average led.
Thats fine. We don't have to agree.the only area where i would say hps and sunlight are undeniably closer than led is to sunlight is in IR output. the rest of the spectrum not so much.
how can something that is watt for watt less efficient produce more output than than something that is more efficient???...HPS emits more of the spectrum, at a higher intensity.
No, thats way off. CMH is the closest artificial lighting to the sun.The simple answer is HPS is closer to the sun.
The complicated answer is either buried in scientific literature or undiscovered.
What colour temp is the sun?HPS emits more of the spectrum, at a higher intensity. It is closer to the sun than conventional LED. does that make it close? No. Its closer.
Because it uses more watts.how can something that is watt for watt less efficient produce more output than than something that is more efficient???...
I was responding to OP, they never mentioned CMH.No, thats way off. CMH is the closest artificial lighting to the sun.
Being that I'd hang hps much higher above canopy then my led bars, physically hps is closer to the sun.this is wrong.
yes and dont forget hps smells very similar to the sun. so its closer in that respect too.Being that I'd hang hps much higher above canopy then my led bars, physically hps is closer to the sun.
5900kWhat colour temp is the sun?
