Elons Little Plan

why would any sane wealthy person want to subject themselves to owning a chat platform? the income can't even come close to being worth the enormous pain in the dick.
you have to moderate your forums, which means you're going to piss off at least a third of your potential users, which means you'll be open to stupid frivolous lawsuits. you have to deal with the government imposing standards, and inspecting your business practices.
you either have to remain silent on your own platform, or be branded by half of them as an asshole, or worse...
you have to hire people who are actually competent to do their jobs, and who will be able to write algorithms that actually do what they're supposed to do.
you have to do all of that, while being careful not to say anything that might be inflammatory, or even misconstrued as inflammatory...
exactly what kind of fucking moron would willing take on a job like that?

Maybe his plan all along was to kill Twitter, and use the losses as a massive tax write-off.

A day of chaos brings Twitter closer to the brink

Two weeks after Elon Musk completed his acquisition of Twitter, the future of the company has never looked less certain. In the past week alone, one of the world’s most influential social networks has laid off half its workforce; alienated powerful advertisers; blown up key aspects of its product, then repeatedly launched and un-launched other features aimed at compensating for it; and witnessed an exodus of senior executives.

You have to break a few eggs to make a big stinking mess.

Looks like swallowing the red pill poisoned Elon and twitter might finish him, or at least his ego. A $44 billion-dollar boondoggle and epic financial fiasco. Electric cars aren't the novelty they once were either and every automaker is or will be competing with him. Uncle Sam might be interested in Space X and could arrange for some defense industry friendly buyers...

The thing is Elon could be opening twitter and himself up for some serious liabilities if twitter continues to go downhill for lack of moderation and content or user management. Not even Telsa's are really self-driving and Twitter can't be either and Elon can be involved or even on the platform. His politics and behavior have alienated his customers and it is dramatically affecting all of his businesses, Twitter and Tesla most of all. Alternatives are available or soon will be for both EVs and social media and most of the people who buy EVs and use Twitter, don't like red pill politics, it shows a certain lack of judgement and morals.

Katy Tur sat down with Business Insider's Linette Lopez to talk about the rapid decline of Twitter after Elon Musk acquired the site.

I thought about that but he's feeling 'freaky deaky' about the future. His corporate style is off the wall..is it his generation or him? He's mid GenX I'm early..I find him unusual which is okay but when you're dealing with tools that change the direction of humanity? I like stability.

So he finally buys Twitter last minute..wants Trump back..Trump likes his own spot now because of the 'cool black background easier on the eyes'(I guess no one told him that you just could go to settings..nvm) and Musk screaming like a banshee to anyone who would listen 'vote Republican'. Musk thought he would fck us on the midterms..he showed us his hand now.

Add him and his products to your boycott list! He's toxic and I can easily see him in German SS uniform or causing mass destruction as he takes off in his rocket (that's why Billionaires built them; for their personal survival, not ours).

I have their panels. Its been two months of the shit not working due to network issues. The techs keep no-showing. Pretty awesome.

I think his hairplugs leaked and poisoned his brain. A slow drip of Rudy Giuliani hair dye.
I’ll wager his techs are getting zero support. Now if they were SpaceX brand …

I've never been sure how to feel about Elon, to be honest. On one hand he is super smart and a super hard worker, with incredible resources. On the other hand, his moral compass seems to be a bit off-kilter. I think he's done a great job with Tesla, but I'm not a fan of Space-X in general. He's smart to build in space now, before governments realize that we need to treat space like real estate. If anything I think he's generally funny to watch, and even funnier to see how the world reacts to him. He reminds me of Tony Stark from the Avengers. I bet he has a secret power suit that we don't know about.

I think Tesla was a great marketing achievement, but in technical terms, their customer satisfaction numbers redefined the bottom of the barrel.

I’m curious what you don’t like about SpaceX. I have an opinion there, but am not leading with it because that could affect how you answer.

Generally speaking I'm not fond of the overabundance of both space satellites and excessive communication frequencies. I'm all for technology, but I also think that at some point we end up pushing the limits too far. I kind of miss the freedom we had back in the 1992 of not being beholden to a cell phone 24/7.
