If it is a full lineup like 2016, I think Trump wins the Republican nomination easily. If they just put him up against someone who is willing to try to become the next cult leader (like DeSantis) and goes head to head, it is a push.

I've been voting for 50 years as of this past week's election.

The one thing I have learned, and that should always be obvious, is this...

2 years is a long time in politics. Dozens of things could happen between now and 2024. The encouraging thing from last week is that democracy hung tough and the moronic deniers were turned away. Gives one hope, we can still do the right thing.

But remember, some of those margins were small and that's less encouraging.

In the meantime, we can enjoy the up coming internal republican infighting for a couple years. Trump - DeSantis could be like Tyson - Holyfield.
Trump isn't above ear biting during debates, watch and see!

He will be in a cage like a monkey after the new year, maybe before and when he shows up for his TV trial in Georgia he could already be in Orange. They know Garland will take care of Donald for them, now that the election is over, but Georgia still remains and Trump controls some of the base and margins in Georgia are razor thin. Trump will fuck Mitch in Georgia again, they know this, he will try to get as close to Herschel's election as he can to try and delay prosecution. It's the only game in town and Donald is desperate or should be, most normal humans would have eaten a bullet long ago.

i had 2 thoughts today of what trump's end game is on running again:

1. he'll win and somehow think he can stop both federal and state investigations against him

2. he knows he's getting indicted soon and his cry to the magats will be " the deep state and liberal socialists know i'm gonna win and the only way to stop me was to indict me. send money for my legal fees!!!

2 for sure

i doubt he'll spend much if any of his own cash and that 100 mil he has from his rubes won't last the next 2years.

but yeah, some of his peeps will have to choose between a jar of gravy for t'giving dinner or a 5$ contribution to MAGA version 3.0

His entire pyramid scheme of graft depends on a steady influx of money. I think we will be treated to a three-stage humiliation:

1) his newsworthiness implodes as the world chants Loser
2) his finances proceed to the “friendly visit by the guys with pipe wrenches” stage
3) the avalanche of court woes starts its slide.

Much of this could happen in plain view before the new legislative class even starts session!
