Most of the illegal farms are Asian. ... I could be wrong about this particular story, but they are the dominant offenders as far as illegal grows go. This farmer prob got 2-3 million for a 3 year lease.. hard to say no when they bring it to you in cash.

Most of these ops are a front for money laundering, human trafficking, along with shipping out of State or out of Country. They are not METRC compliant, nor are they registered as a legal grow op with the State. We have approx 7300 licensed growers... they just blend in.
