Problems With Dry Ice Hash

Smoke some of that dry ice hash after a year and tell me it tastes better than a year old temple ball

A temple ball made from bubble hash? Dry ice hash is essentially dry sift right? Over a year ago I used the kief from my old grinder to make a ball of whatever you want to call it hash. I kept heating and compressing it in PTFE film until it formed a rock hard musket ball. I had to heat up a knife to cut off chunks. I have a little piece left and it's still just as hard.

Likely too much heat and/or pressure as overworking it will make it hard. Good dry sift or bubble will get soft in your hand in my experience.

you live and you learn... next harvest I will go again with these new tips.

if you have some "extra" bud the yield is much better than trim so no need to wait until next crop

I think I just made it into a harder form. I used very little heat, but definitely worked it until it was as compressed as possible. I'm not sure of the micron, but it was quality kief. There's very little charcoal afterwards. My point is it's super stable compared to the bubble hash my dad makes. I actually tried to harden up some of his a few weeks ago using the same method, but his just squished around and wasn't able to harden up. I think it's because of the a higher lipid count.
