Need fellow AL_B Disciple to double check my math.

I'm building custom tanks for my room.
Based on Al_B bibles, can anyone verify that the res tank size should be about 1.5 gal/ plants or 2 gal / ft sq.

Thanks

5L/per plant.....1.5gallons=5.7L should be great.......

I am running 96 plants/265L. Less than 3L/plant and have to change my res every 10 days as I've mentioned.....So you can get away with less but its alot more work down the road--as I am finding out:mrgreen:

5 Liter per plant for rez size @ 25 plants per tray

125 liters is 33.021506375 gallons

Or you can use this calculation adjusted for other sizes :

W x L x H x 0.0043 = Gallons to fill

Example:
For this example lets use a 3’ x 3’ American Agritech tray, the tray will flood up to 6”.

Reservoir size required (gal) = ((3’x12) x (3’ x 12) x 6”) x 0.0043
= 36” x 36” x 6” x 0.0043
= 33 gallons (minimum)

Still its good to use a rez bigger then what you need because some of the water will evaporate

I know the formulas. I wanted someone to double check my math to make sure I calculated those formulas to derive my gal/ per plant ratio or gal /sq ft of plant/light coverage. I dont want to build my tank til I know that my work is correct. I got one confirmed would like 1 or 2 more
