On sale for $50. I got this 2 weeks ago and hooked it up to my laundry room sink cold water line. It’s running right now, filling a 5 gallon bucket. I dump it into a 30 gallon trash can in the basement, and “make” water for the whole week in a few hours. Filter makes about 5 gallons per hour for me, reduces my water from 580 ppm to 7. Haven’t changed filters yet, but there’s a “hack” someone posted on the Amazon comments that I’m gonna try when it’s time.

Heard alot of nightmares with these cheap systems leaking and flooding floors.

I run it when I’m at home and can watch it. The one line runs right onto the sink drain, and the other into a bucket, sitting in the sink. I got fittings from the hardware store. I don’t trust the crap they sent with it. It’s basically just a series of filters, connected in series, like the other models.

I have an APEC RO 90 system under kitchen sink. Its used for drinking, cooking, and ice making. Replacement filters are reasonable, and often on sale. Tap for watering garden.

Have you noticed any health issues drinking primarily RO filtered water? I was having some issues with muscle cramps and just never feeling properly hydrated. I think its just plain the lack of nutrients in it but I know that some people have zero issue drinking distilled/ro filtered water.

That kinda sounds like it could be an electrolyte imbalance. Your body needs things like Na and K for proper muscle activation and nervous system functioning. Have you tried BRAWNDO ? It’s got electrolytes ! On a serious note though, be careful and check with your doctor to get some blood work done to confirm or rule out other stuff. Stuff like an electrolyte imbalance can cause you to feel dehydrated and cause related issued, or even cause seizures if serious enough. It could also be nothing. Note - I am not a doctor. Talk to a real one.

Not at all. I do take a daily vitamin regimen that includes magnesium, and I eat a lot of bananas, berries and such. I also give RO water to my dog because the flouride in USA water is not good for their pineal glands - I heard/read. I watered with it in my earthbox with organic soil one whole cycle, but noticed no difference, so went back to tap for that. I use bottled drinking water for my coffee; the experts don't recommend RO/distilled for the best taste.

Forgot to say I make my own fermented sauerkraut and hot giardiniera, sometimes beer, and tap is a no-no for that because chlorine/chloramine.

Natural spring water. Its a water service where they deliver the 5 gallon bottles and provide a dispenser kinda like you might see in an office. I used to live in New Orleans, and everyone had those because the tap is so bad down there.

I'm a water snob. :bigjoint:
