I talked about this a little in another thread, I'm not a very experienced grower, just coming up on 5 years of growing small scale from seed in the closet of my shitty little apartment. But I've grown something that I think fits the description here before. I bought Ace Malawi x PCK and made f2s with an apple/pear scented female and blackberry/bubblegum scented male. Had a second male that was perfectly healthy and larger than the blackberry bubblegum pheno, but it smelled like a mix of carrot and pixie stick, and i just didnt find that as incredibly appealing as i did the other so i tossed it out. ive since read that the carrot terps are often linked with trippier effects so i kind of regret that actually. the apple/pear seed mother was on its own as a smoke definitely something unique and caused some minor depth perception related hallucinations in higher doses. but when i tried growing the seeds i made with the seeds i bought, i got a lot of different stuff. I've tried 5 of her female progeny so far. there one obvious standout, a short, thick, 11.5 week(what i gave it anyway) flowering pheno that had a bit of compost lemon going on in its scent. That one was extra trippy best smoke ive grown yet in retrospect. for really unique effect. with that one i would be high about four hours but more or less debilitated and unable to work... wide awake, just physically lethargic and percieving things much differently, it's definitely hard to describe what changes when you smoke it. it's a new feeling basically. i call that one jelly legs. of the remaining 4, 2 just kind of sucked. 1 was big, vigorous, small resinous fruity buds, a great pleasure to smoke. not incredibly potent, just nice. the last one was tiny and fast flowering, good indica smoke, really good, but tiny yielding and not really trippy.
According to what i've read, the source of the trippiness is basically the malawi. i went for malawi x pck because pure Malawi wasn't available for a while and ive had problems with sativa dominant varieties growing too tall for my space before, so since i was second most interested in pck of all ace's strains the malawi x pck cross seemed like the wisest choice to make on a limited budget, from among the many half-malawi offerings that ace has.
if you're up to dealing with possibly extremely stretchy sativa growth, you should probably just try ace's malawi, as it will likely be the trippiest weed you ever tried. if you really dont think you can handle the sativa stretch, ace's Malawi Killer still makes great hybrids or at least it did with pck.
Ive got 2 Guawi (malawi x tikal) in flower now that werent really exceptionally vigorous, they're kind of small actually. ive also got a Panama x malawi going that is pretty vigorous they were all grown under 11.5 hours of light since the beginning since i was under the impression that they were pure sativas, though ive since learned tikal has some indica in its heritage. can't vouche for their potency yet theyre not finished.
So i've grown Malawi x PCK that would be good for your purposes, and i strongly believe in the Malawi from ace.
EDIT: i know it's a long post, but the point i was kind of trying to make, is that when looking for something specific from seed, you can improve your chances of finding what you're looking for by selecting the right seeds to grow, but you're always going to have to expect to do SOME "hunting" to really find even a close approximation of what you're looking for. But ya Ace Malawi is a very good bet.
