Powdery mildew

Constant battle with PM for me in the basement tents. I've found a tablespoon of potassium bicarbonate, one teaspoon of Castile soap, and one teaspoon of olive oil mixed with one gallon of water and sprayed liberally works well. Once you get into flowering, using it will red/brown the pistills but doesn't seem to affect potency or yield.

The Rev at Skunk magazine recommends Serenade up 10 days before chop. He’s big into organic so….

I'd give Zerotol a shot if you are in flower. If you are in veg, the Thyme based sprays like Thymox are pretty incredible-don't underestimate the power of thyme! But with that power comes a very strong odor, so that's one downside to that option. You could always try a homemade citric acid or hydrogen peroxide spray-basically home made zerotol. For prevention, cold pressed neem oil and Southern Ag Garden Friendly Fungicide work well together as IPM sprayed weekly (both are relatively inexpensive). Deep clean your environment between grows (citric acid is a great cleaner for this purpose) and if you get PM regularly consider running a hepa filter in the room 24/7. If the spores are constantly being removed from the room, they won't be able to overwhelm and infect a healthy plant. Another last ditch effort which I don't recommend inside your living space is to do a sulfur burn. Good luck to you!

Isopropyl alcohol. 99 percent. 1 ounce per gallon is what i use now. Evaporates away after killing your powdery mildew at the root. Use it in flower during lights out. I bet you could push the dose to 2 ounce per gallon but 1 is working for me now. Mystery solved, enjoy your clean ass buds.

Anyone willing to so a test on amounts of iso to a gallon and effects on the plants health would be very helpful.

What’s everyone using for PM? Inside and out I been using lost coast plant therapy with decent results but it keeps coming back especially outside …
I swear by " Banish Fungicide"...all natural ( geranium oil)......actually KILLS pm. It's never failed me.......a small bottle goes a long way.....ya gotta check it out. Safe during flowering , harmless products of combustion. Two spraying applications is the most I've ever had to do , usually one does the job. It's a godsend.

One of the guys over at pro farm (place that makes regalia) told me to use jet ag which is the same thing as oxidate 5.0 or sanitate 5.0. Only place you'll find it (sanitate 5.0) for a reasonable price with shipping is 7 springs farm. Pro Farm told me to use the minimum recommended dose of jet ag which is .75 oz per 5 gallons, and spray every 2-3 days.

I had a bad case of powdery mildew that spanned 3 grows. I finally got rid of it using regalia, as mentionned by nxsov above, and a gizmo called the AirROS that puts out reactive oxygen species that kills pm in the air and on the surface of the plants.

Expensive but well worth it now that I've had 4 or 5 clean grows.

It's worth the cost to me, around $3,000 US, because I was having such trouble with pm in my garden I was afraid of loosing crops.

.
Yea the price is high and that's fine but I need to know it does everything it says it does for me to drop the cash on it lol.

I run HEPA filters with UV sterilizer light as preventive measure and clean my tents with uv (ozone) and bleach between runs. Had pm inside once, and I lost alot of sleep (and weed) over it. Never again. Was my own fault, lacking discipline in 'going in clean'. I don't treat it like I'm doing grain spawn, but awful close. Been working for me ever since, so I keep it up. Alot cheaper than that airos dealy and basically the exact same thing. If ya got the loot to blow, then well buy whatever but a good cheaper alternative is HEPA/uv.

Thank you for the information. I will research and cross reference against each other. If it's basically the same then yea I'd much rather that cash go to fishing gear lmfao

Ya u got some rods and reels that need replacing.!
I'm sure the airos has a higher CFM rating, but personally I don't think that much is necessary unless youre running large scale. For us guys in tents or small rooms something less 'industrial' will do the job just fine imo
Also, check how much the replacement bulbs and filters cost. This can be a serious deal breaker when you pay 3g then another couple hundy every 6mnth to change filters/bulbs

Don't get me wrong, I mean I believe the airos is far superior to my unit, but mine cost ~150$.... And works for what I need it to. If I had a bigger space, commercial.... and needed to pass microbial tests then I'd go airos. But for 3gs I could buy a boat

I run one of these in the main grow room that houses all the tents
And I have these throughout the house

There's a ton of different units available, if you go this route you'll need to replace lights and filters. I also have one unit with a static charged filter which uses electricity across the filter to attract particles. It's also washable. I think it's a Honeywell? I'll have to double check that one when in out the tub. It is NOT UV though.
Check the CADR (clean air delivery rate) the higher the number the more effective the unit is at removing the crud in the time it is running.
