My buds are still small and I’m in week 12 of flowering

I don’t know what to do I’m new at this and my buds haven’t been getting much bigger. I rotate nutes and water every 3 days with about 25 percent runoff. Homemade grow tent in basement with fan for exhaust and space heater to keep temps around 65-70 degrees.

A grow tent & an oil filled heater (see: Newair 400w thin) would keep your costs down. Space heaters use mega wattage. Way easier to heat & light a small tent than a whole basement. What kind of light ya got?

I try to keep my temps at 80F daytime & 75ish night.

Thanks all, great input I will take all the info and apply it my next grow. I’m in the process of building an 8’L x 6’ W x 7’H room with 6 mil poly sheeting for walls, exhaust fan and better heat. I do have more lights I was just afraid of having to much light

I agree with Nope and Star Dog, but I would get a 600 watt HPS if you can, they are cheap. You need more heat than the heater is providing, and you need more light, so why not combine the two? You might even just go with 1,000 watt HPS and just run the heater during lights off. You might find you are using the same amount of power as you are now with that blurple and the space heater, but you'll have the light you need to grow properly. Good luck!

It kills me to see blurple when a 250w hps would kick its ass all over the place.

I can't see the size of your tent, a hid light will cost around 100 bucks, it'll give you heat and far superior results for peanuts.

I'd recommend you take @Nope_49595933949 advice and start with a small successful grow.
And here's a great place to begin your research. A lot of us started here...

Generally I don't think we're doing good enough in our plastic environments.

Look at your temps as example. Those are fall temperatures. And what is your humidity at? Does the tent air feel like thick Summer air or thin Winter air?

Have you ever been to the botanical gardens or butterfly exhibit? I think that's the environment we need to emulate. Tropical. 75°F minimum to 81°F+/-.

I'm root'in for you!

They will grow a lot faster above 70, and even faster at 75 to 80.

The airy result is as said many times lack of light. 50k lux is a simple target that will yield great results.

Asking and improving is the game. Well done and nobody snarked you it must be a new year lol!
