Oklahoma Growers Thread!

It WAS for me at first. .. the longer I stayed in, the less it became important to me. ..... or should I say I was tired of working my ass off, only to get low balled by the buyers who had 20 people behind me. Im content with just home growing now, and passing excess along to friends or family.
I think recreational is legitimately about the money! And I realize that Ok has a rec system masquarading as medical, for the most part. And if you want to recreate, do what ever you want that you can afford, beit cannabis or Cancun! But if you are dealing with chemo or depression, PTSD, whatever, I would like to see more guidance facilitated toward the best treatments and it will take time, as more research is finally allowed.

I don't know who you're talking to, but I don't know of anyone that has not left the State. Myself, .. I've been to most of the States, Canada, Europe, and lived in the Middle East for a few years, but ended up back here. I suppose its like anything else, every State has its ugly parts. There's a reason I haven't left this 12 acres in 22 years. We have the most beautiful sunsets, Summer can be brutal, but Spring and Fall are awesome.
Dust... I don't see much of it... you gotta plant plenty of grass.
I am with you there rother. Can't beat the sunsets here. I have also done my fair share of traveling. Granted a big part of it is because uncle Sam ordered me to go but man I miss it.

It's actually warmer in Anchorage AK, than it is in Oklahoma right now!
We got some nasty stuff on the way here out west. Supposed to be freezing rain. Power outages likely. Hopefully I won't be affected. It's pretty cold right now at 21°F. I've been swapping out the hummingbird feeder every hour because they're freezing up. I can't let my hummers go without food.

Not anywhere close to the photographer you are but I can get some decent shots with my Canon T6i. Just took this one when I went out to swap the feeder. It was waiting. The sugar solution isn't freezing in the bottle but at the point where they feed. I'm swapping out every 30 minutes now.

We're sitting at about 11 right now.... not gonna get much warmer, with ice on the way... about to head into town and stock up on some vino before the roads get too bad. Nice shot!

Good thing about the west coast is that the Pacific ocean helps push that cold that drops down in the winter from the north away somewhat. The weather systems that are bringing the precipitation are also going to push that cold out. The problem is that initially that precipitation will cause problems when it meets the cold air. Fortunately it's a short event. It will be in the40's by Saturday and raining.

I just set the camera to auto. I have the 18-135 mm zoom lense and it's just point and click. The shots usually come out good. I rarely bother with changing the settings. It's good enough for my purposes. I have too many other hobbies already. I'm just a point and shoot kind of guy. Fortunately if you get a decent camera pointing and shooting can give you good results.

Thank you!.. and since this my thread, everyone be nice... or leave. Socks will be reported. I don't have the patience for nonsense. BTW, it's -20 wind chill out there mid day, and has dropped to 6 degrees, winds sustaining at 30 mph. ...brutality. I got the Ready Heater filled with diesel and running in the garage. I had a pipe freeze up 2 years ago under similar conditions and it took 12 hours with the Ready Heater to thaw out. Trying to stay ahead of it this time. Stay safe out there my Oklahomies!
It's six and windy in the Lou as well. Good news is it looks like snow is only going to be a minor inconvenience.

Just wanted to show you guys some pics from my grow I harvested on Christmas day. A little bummed that dry time was only 9 days. Was hoping to drag it out to at least 2 weeks but moisture meter shows 9%. So they are ready for jars. Please feel free to give me your honest opinion of my flowers. If they look like mids just say so. I am a big boy.20230102_191312.jpg20230102_191215.jpg20221213_212306.jpg20221211_165733.jpg20221206_211725.jpg20221201_194955.jpg

What is it? I've done worse. I bet your photography is holding it back a bit. The right lighting and lens...
I too would smoke that.
