My girls are at week 8 in flowering. All is going well but i feeling it's taking so long to get her mature. Do i need to change my light to a 'flowering light'? i running viparspectra p1000 100 watt at full power. Or, do i need to add any bloom nutes? The strain is watermelon zkittlez auto. Any idea? Thank you.

For 1 plant a 100 watts might be okay but also depends on size of tent and how many girls are in there the equation is like 30-32 watt per square foot or something like that lol

Yeah, you need more light
.
If you're new to growing and things go okay you can expect around 1 gram per watt of light used.

I know I'd hate to waste 4 months growing to only end up with 100g @ harvest.

Edit.....but that far into the grow you might as well just wait it out and make better arrangements for the next run.

Is your light enough?

Depends if your running more than say 1.5ft x 1.5ft of area, if so then more light would be better.

Do you need bloom nutes?
Probably.
You aren't giving much enough to go on.

Other factors that influence the rate of growth/flowering.

How much co2 is in the air, determined by air exchange normally.

How warm it is.

Humidity , which if too high will slow transpiration and uptake of nutrients .

Some basic thought..

I was underpowered a little using a 425 watt light from a really good company in my 4x4. I'm running 700 watts now in the same tent and have plenty of light, if not a little bit too much. Having more power than you need and running it at a lower strength has proven to be the best way for me to go.

3 girls in a 4 x 4 grow tent, so I need to add a 200W led?
Id buy 3 more lights like you have if you are happy with them. I say this because the ease at which you could change hanging heights based on canopy level might come in handy. If unhappy buy one fixture that fits the 4x4 and save the other for vegging Good luck!

Ayup ... agreed. Going slightly bigger and dimming them down always beats insufficient juice. I am running 420 true watts @ about 85% in a 2 x 4.
So currently you are at close to 50 watts per square foot of tent? You running the light pretty high up in the tent or supplementing with cO2 ?
