If you intend to LST them like that, then offset them in the pot. Plant it right against one side. I have never used those LST clip things, start the off progressively and bend them down over the course of a few days starting further up the stem. I use this type of thing...

They are called ground hooks, you can get them off Amazon really cheaply.
Thanks! I did a test of the soil before I transplanted a few weeks ago from solo cups and it said it had a surplus of K. Those tests could be bunk so who knows. The next time I water I'll topdress with some Dr. Earth's Veg and EWC then water in some recharge for good measure.That's not the best way to got about this. But I'm gonna follow along.
