Man I need a good biscuit and gravy recipe. I've never learned to make a good one myself, but I get it everytime we go out to breakfast.

Yeah, fry the jimmy deans in a skillet, when it's done add milk - bring to a brisk boil & add flour while whisking until it looks almost done & then stop. It will thicken very quickly as it cools.P.S. add some water if it gets too thick. Mine usually does, but I like it that way.
Awesome. That sounds easy enough, thanks,Yeah, fry the jimmy deans in a skillet, when it's done add milk - bring to a brisk boil & add flour while whisking until it looks almost done & then stop. It will thicken very quickly as it cools.
It takes a few tries to not make wallpaper paste, I only use about a 1/4-1/3 cup flour.Awesome. That sounds easy enough, thanks,
How much milk and sausage? A whole lb tube of the Jimmy Dean? Thanks man.It takes a few tries to not make wallpaper paste, I only use about a 1/4-1/3 cup flour.
I usually make some patties and then tear up the rest into pieces I leave in the gravy, the whole thing. Milk about 2 cups? You can add more or water if it gets too thick, It will thicken more when it cools a bit also. You are making a roux basically. How much milk and sausage? A whole lb tube of the Jimmy Dean? Thanks man.
I don't use Jimmy Dean but I grind my own sausage and use a copycat Jimmy Dean recipe for seasoning and reduce the salt. How much milk and sausage? A whole lb tube of the Jimmy Dean? Thanks man.

Sweet man. Thanks for that. I'm not lucky enough to grind my own, but I'll be making some Jimmy Dean biscuits and gravy soon. Thanks man,I don't use Jimmy Dean but I grind my own sausage and use a copycat Jimmy Dean recipe for seasoning and reduce the salt.
This is my basic recipe but you can add more sausage and sometimes I do. I usually stick with these ratios though as it makes just enough for the two of us and I pre-portion things so I can just pull out enough for the meal. You can add more sausage to your liking.
1/4 lb sausage, 1 cup milk, 1 tbsp flour, 1-2 tbsp butter.
Cook the sausage in the butter on until it's done making sure to break it up and then add flour. Cook for 2 minutes and then add the milk. Bring to very low boil, lower heat and simmer until desired consistency.
I like kale.
