I inoculated my spawn bag 6 days ago, went to check on it and see absolutely no mycelium growth at all. Wtf??

I'm a noob, but proper hydration of the spawn is a must, and 6 days isn't long, if it cool it takes longer too.

I’ve tried bags, brf cakes and 5 grain in quart jars. I never had success with bags and 5 grain jars work for me. Some spores take a week or two to before they colonize to a point where it can be seen with the eyes

So could I just split the spawn bag open and pour it in a jar and inoculate it with a syringe that way?

You can buy/make spawn jars the same way you can spawn bags. Proper sterile techniques and tools are very important to prevent contamination. Sometimes contaminated spawn/inoculation grow nothing and turn darker, other times you see mold or other growth that is more obvious. Put your spores directly into your spawn (bag/jar) and wait until you see growth. If you already inoculated the bag, leave it for 2-3 weeks and if your environment is ok, you should see the mycelium colonizing. If a bag or a jar doesn’t do anything for a month, I toss it out and start new.

It’s a big waiting game. The more info you initially give about your skill level, experience, grow environment, goals for the grow the more we can help. Environment can make a huge difference on how long each step of the process lasts. I scoured the internet for growing info, tried a bunch of stuff (lots of failures) and figured out what works best for me.

I use a 2x2 grow tent that I sterilized myself with disaffection spray and %70 isopropyl, then for humidity I poured a cup or 2 of boiling hot water on the water proof ground tray in the tent. The theme is around 69-73 , not sure the humidity level but I assume around 60-70, the tent is sealed

With your setup, I would expect your tent to be at about the same temp/humidity as the room it’s in. If it’s too cold, a small space heater or a graphite heating pad can help get your environment right. If the spawn is in a bag or jar, the tents humidity won’t really matter too much until you want to colonize your bulk substrate. What varieties are you growing? What growing technique(s), books, online references are you using? If you can identify and maintain the ideal temp for each step of the grow for the cultivar you have, you will be well on your way to some fun!

The tent is in my basement so I opened the vents down there so the Temps should be 70-75 , I also been growing bud down there for years so I know how to control the temp and humidity. I use a few forums, shroomery, mycotek, mycotopia for info and tips

Theres plenty of good info on the shroomery..
You should look up on the pf tek and give it a shot, once you nail it down you’ll know how to be clean and sterile, after that you can look at spawning the brf cakes.
Spawn needs to be spawned, you may be able to case it and fruit it but that defeats the purpose of it being called spawn..
buying kits online is cheating its like buying a amazon grow tent kit with clones in it thinking youll harvest an elbow by just watering, itll teach you something but not really everything you need to know.
I think you may be able to find the lets grow mushroom videos on utube, im sure you have a good knowledge already based on your post but it maybe worth watching if you haven’t already.
Give them bags a shot to colonize, usually takes about a week for cakes to show signs of growth, but dont open them up, it just gives you another vector for contamination

Not if it's not completely sterile. Expose your grain to the air for a few seconds and you will get green or blue or red or pink or black or gray in short order.

Honestly spawn bags are a gamble unless you’ve got some experience doing sterile work or spawning w/a liquid culture. That’s why starting out doing the old pf tek jar method is worth a try. Build your self a good SAB and get some practice working inside of it. Usually the longer it takes to colonize the higher the chance is of contamination.
A couple of weeks to spawn in a grow bag with a syringe is not unheard of; might still begin to colonize soon. Starting on agar plates is another way of virtually ensuring clean spawn but that will take a bit more work/research on your part. For me streaking an agar plate and spawning to grains is easier than trying to nocc up a bag and hoping for the best; eliminates guesswork and avoids contamination. Look into agar on shroomery; it’s not as difficult as it may seem.

It takes months for a bag to go off where it takes days to weeks for a agar plate you can add to grain to colonize which is then clean and a for sure thing as long as you're sterile . I use a still air box or a flow hood I built to do my sterile work and they both work great . . Grain takes longer than BRF -Brown rice flower . BRF works really well as where grain takes longer to get rolling and is slower to colonize than whole grain . You can also make a Liquid culture very easy from spores or a liquid culture . You can buy either one or both . I buy 1 syringe , create my own culture out of 2 cc's and put the rest to grain . Then use the culture you create to knock up as many bags or jars as you would like . I have maybe 50 strains and would never need any more of anything for the rest of my life . I can expand out any one of the strains as far as I care to and can make enough to inoculate the world .
