My ryobi is 1,600 - 500 rpm. Googled equivalent Milwaukee got 2,000 - 600. If there's one that does 120 rpm I'm all ears.

Check out mixing drills. They do super low RPM. Like 0-600 even. Mine is pretty big though. I'm not sure how small they make them.

Ya. My regular cordless drills can go super slow too. Just have to barely push the trigger. But I could imagine if you pushed to hard you'd end up with grinded instead of trimmed buds. That's a guess though. Don't know anything about that device she's got.
Edit: OK I had to go mess with mine. Ya, it's super easy to get it to spin at like 0-5 RPM. Screw that heavy ass mixing drill idea,
. Those are even easier to make go super slow.

I have some old ones that where my grandfather's. All polished totally metal. All still work. But I like to look at them more than I've used them
