ANYTIME is the *right* time to be a shameless bombthrower…if you’re a shameless bombthrower. I mean, why NOT live your best possible life, amirite?

Nine bars of latinum on her saying nothing worth hearing: ‘alternative facts’ and SHS are each other’s harrowed field

i don't blame Biden for using a little spin, but he only offers the republicans leverage when he tells a half truth...
I'd much rather hear the whole truth, and Biden's plan to fix the problems.
He's been doing an incredible job, considering the opposition he's been facing, don't tarnish the whole thing for a few cheap points.
Where is it a half truth? Freedom Caucus proposal said 'all federal legislation'. Social Security and Medicare was federally legislated.

did you read the link in the post...that's where it's half truths.

Obama’s figure is so much larger than Trump’s partly because he served eight years, while Trump served only four. If you divide the debt accumulated during each president’s tenure by the number of years they served, Biden, with only two years in office, has seen the largest rise in debt, with Trump second and Obama third.

"I stand here tonight after we’ve created, with the help of many people in this room, 12 million new jobs — more jobs created in two years than any president’s created in four years."
Biden is correct about 12 million jobs created, but his comparison with previous presidents is Half True.
In raw numbers, Biden did oversee greater job growth than any post-World War II president’s first or second term in office. However, this achievement comes with asterisks.
Population growth skews the calculation, with Biden benefiting from a larger population. Measured by percentage increase from the time the president took office, which reduces the impact of population size, Biden rates in the middle of the pack.
And although Biden has outpaced every post-World War II president in job gains per year, he benefited by taking office on the upswing of a deep recession. He also has not faced a recession yet, something most of his predecessors experienced during their longer terms.

He has the high ground in just about every way...don't lose it because you want the numbers to look a little rosier.

He didn't tell the complete truth, no matter what excuses anyone makes...
He doesn't need to do that, and only erodes the moral and ethical high ground he stands on now.
He's doing a good job, and i know he has to sell himself to independents and younger voters, but telling half truths isn't the way to do that.
There have been more than enough accomplishments to point to without embellishing or being "selective" about things.

The SOTU speech has become more theatrical than anything else. I don’t know, maybe it’s always been that way but I agree with you. Biden doesn’t have to be disingenuous, his accomplishments speak for themselves.

How much detail can you go in to? It was 70 minutes; half the time snears and jeers. He's there to highlight himself pre-2024. Let him take some liberties.

Joe's problem is the media is treating his presidency as normal and criticizing every little thing, because it's usually slow news with Joe, good news doesn't sell well. Trump on the other hand overwhelmed the news media with multiple scandals and national humiliations a day as he overwhelmed the legal system with the sheer volume of his crimes. The democrats expect perfection and the republicans want a psycho. Joe better blow his own horn and sell, because the media isn't doing him any favors or giving him much credit it would appear. By any measure he accomplished a lot and is kicking Vlad's ass hard, not kissing it like Trump and making China squeal in pain. He played the republicans like a fish during the SOTU and removed social security and Medicare from the table by ratting them out to boos and denials. Then he told them he liked conversions, after they opened their mouths.

Maybe he wanted to "trigger" the clowns in the republican house and showcase them to America? When he spoke about them cutting social security and Medicare it drew a chorus of boos and denials, even though it was a key part of their agenda. That took it off the table as far as the debt ceiling went.

Then speak <rhetorical>.

Ask a Rightie to name any three (3) accomplishments Biden has made over the last two years and see what they come up with- sadly every time I ask a curious Rightie Lyft driver? They may get one.

What his presidency means to mean is stability with sound, well thought out policy- domestic and foreign.

No more fear and daily chaos..I couldn't take it anymore.

But the Righties all stood in agreement that SS and Medicare is off the table..what a hoot- they stepped right into it! That was the highlight..to stand in unison with cameras panning. Lights were bright; mics hot:lol:

Maybe I just haven't watched enough State Of The Union addresses, but when did it become such commonplace for these asshats to interrupt and heckle the POTUS as he's talking???! Did they do this to Reagan, or Bush? Or Clinton? Or is this some new tasteless fad within our Govt?

Absolute trash, the lot of them.

The scar creeped me out. Totally made me forget about the eye. Which backwater doctor did she go to? + it's crooked. Wasn't laparoscopy an option or her mouth?

Who would wear a dress to show it off? That's a sick need.
she just creeped me out with that speech
