I can't say whether that's the culprit or not, but I don't remember anyone mentioning recharge causing burnt tips. it's just something I've started doing personally. Top dress with amendments and ewc then a week later hit them with recharge.Hmm, I've been top dressing 5tbsp to a 5gal pot once every 2 weeks & watering it in with recharge. Doh!!
Is that why I got these burnt tips?

What are you top dressing with? Those tips curling down and twisting looks kinda like toxicity. That could cause other issues too like lockout of other stuff. The Recharge will mainly just make the top dressing break down faster. It has a little kelp too, but the amount in it shouldn't cause that. They look pretty good though.Hmm, I've been top dressing 5tbsp to a 5gal pot once every 2 weeks & watering it in with recharge. Doh!!

If the damage in the second and third picture is only on that single leaf then personally I wouldn't bother, throwing random fixes at it would just lead to more problems.@hotrodharley @Marq1340 @FirstCavApache64
What do you guys think this brown is?
It's on one of the top leaves on my tallest plant.

Yea I've got burnt tips on every single leaf on all 3 plants... but that brown stuff is just 1 leaf so far. Cool thanks budIf the damage in the second and third picture is only on that single leaf then personally I wouldn't bother, throwing random fixes at it would just lead to more problems.
There's several things that could cause leaf tip discoloration but with my level of expertise I wouldn't know where to begin. Sorry.
I do double that amount of both the Recharge and the dry amendments. I use 2 tbls per gallon of soil for Dr Earth and have only found one strain that showed any nute burn from it. The pre 98 bubba kush clone I run likes less Nitrogen than any other strain I've run and showed a little burn at 2 tbls per gallon. I use Recharge at the higher strength rate of 1 tsp per gallon and I'll use it twice a week depending on the plant size. Tip burn in fabric pots can be from the outer edges of the pot getting too dry and that can concentrate the EC at the tips of the leaves causing burning. I had to wrap my 3 gallon fabric pots with Saran wrap to keep more moisture in the edges. With 5 gallon pots it happened a lot less.Every 2 weeks I've been doing
2tbsp of 4-4-4
3tbsp of 2-8-4
3 handfuls of ocean forest soil on top of that (yesterday i switched to happy frog though), as a covering/mulch layer to cover ammendments.
Maybe wait 3 weeks for next top dress?
I'd stop using the 4-4-4 and just stick with the 2-8-4 until the end. More K wouldn't hurt either. I looked but can't find the actual ingredients for the Dr. Earth 4-4-4. To be safe maybe wait 3 weeks next time. I'd start adding less and less though unless one looks really hungry. The more you add the more it will add up too. It all doesn't get broken down at the same rate. They look good now though so even if you keep doing what you're doing it'll be all good as long as you don't chop early,Every 2 weeks I've been doing

The Gaia looks like good stuff, but it's more expensive here. Now seeing all your plants I'd be leaning more towards deficiency. It probably wasn't a bad idea to give that one the 4-4-4. That big one is the one with the brown spots I'm assuming? This run I'm using Gaia Green

Out of 3 plants, I only gave the big one some 4-4-4 this week, as you can see it's a very light-green compared to the other 2. The other 2 (left & back right) I just gave 2-8-4. I figured the light green might be N deficiency, stupidly, I should have asked first!

Anyway glad to hear I'm ok at this point (as long as I don't chop early!) Thanks!
Yup big one has the brown spots but just on one leaf so far. I was using deer park (6.5ph'ish) now I switched recently to Walmart Spring water (same 6.5'ish but cheaper). I still have a bag of 0-0-50 water soluble organic potash that hydrokid suggested I get last grow. Add some? The Gaia looks like good stuff, but it's more expensive here. Those yellow tips first made me think K deficiency so maybe it's not locked out, but just needs more. That's my guess now. It looks like that plant has the biggest buds too?
What's your water like?
Why the special water? Is there anything wrong with your tap water? What soluble K did @HydroKid239 tell you about, Potassium Sulfate I'm assuming? A tiny bit is probably a good idea. Those dry amendments don't add enough K if you ask me. And I wouldn't stress about that tiny spot of brown on that one leaf either. Yes potassium sulfate. Ill add a tiny bit to next watering. Special water because my tap is super chlorinated, 8.5ph & loaded with stuff. Last grow I battled with ph down & my plant was a yellow mess. Figured try something new out. Maybe the taps fine but these spring water plants sure look happier than last tap run.Why the special water? Is there anything wrong with your tap water?
