Gnats

Sounds extreme man sorry to hear that I’ve had them destroy entire crops before but I’ve had luck in riding myself of them and have taken special precaution to keep them away I basically did the things you said you did with luck though maybe step up the concentration and keep any moisture to a minimum in the grow area. Can I ask what medium you are using?
I grow in organic soil and usually bottom water so it's not a moisture problem. Don't get me wrong, I'm winning the battle just haven't won the war. Yet!

Do you have your pots elevated?
Yeah, I thought of that too. Pots are on an elevated shelf. I will win!

I grow in a living soil also and although I’ve rid myself of them, every once and awhile I’ll see one on a sticky trap and I get nervous and go into destroy mode lol it’s a continuous battle with living soil

I've been using a planned attack for over three years.. Neem oil, Sesame oil, BTI, Spinosad, H2O2, vinegar, Alcohol, Citric acid, sticky traps, covered drain holes and a 1" layer of sand. Sucked up flyers with my shop vac.
It all worked to some extent but they're still here. I treat the soil every time I water. Not sure what else to do!
Have you removed bags of soil from the area? That's where those damn gnats seem to come from most of the time so once you get them out of your plants new ones just move back in. Take a tsp of your soil and put that in a shot glass then fill to the brim with water then lay some white paper towel or even toilet paper over it and examine what sticks when you lift it off. My 30X scope works well enough to spot any gnat larvae.

Ever since using Gnatrol I've got rid of them with one medium dose 3 times in the last 5 or 6 years. Thrips are harder as you have to spray for them and mites are the worst IMO. Insecticidal soap with 10ml canola oil/L gets rid of those last two as long as you are thorough and consistent in spraying. Four or five treatments 3 - 5 days apart depending on temp as they breed faster at higher temps. Using multiple different chem is not needed as the soap and oil kill manually and not thru chemical means. Suffocates the little bastards and they can't become immune to that.

Yeah, I have my soil cooking outside in garbage cans. I've been using Microbe Lift the last 3 waterings, only saw 2 flyers today! I'm just gonna keep using it every watering till they're gone.
I'm sure the recurring problem stems from my wife's houseplants. Gotta blame it on someone!

Can gnatrol or any of the products mentioned in this thread be added to a nutrient res for my Drip system? So that every water I'm dosing? Would they react with my nutes? Jack's 321 powersi and Mr fulvic. Soil grow having trouble getting rid of gnats.

The liquid BTI drops would work I'm sure. Gnatrol powder seems to have a good amount of sediment so I don't think I'd use it in a drip or flood system if it was me.

I use the microbe lift with every watering and use 1-2 drops per gallon I’ve seen like two gnats on the traps and they probably came in on me. Stuff works great I’ve had to use diatomaceous earth and other top dressing before with little success compared to the microbe lift.

I only had fungus gnats once but this stuff completely knocked em out. Smells nasty like fish guts but it works.
