This is one of those times I feel like I have no idea what I’m doing….just finishing one tent in which every plant started showing different deficiencies around week 5-6. Some looked like mag, some calcium, another manganese, signs of excess nitrogen in another. Could not manage to really fix any of them and getting ready to say to hell with it and start cutting.
Other tent is the reason for my post. They were looking great up until the last couple days but the Future #1 has started showing some issues and I want to get on top of it before it progresses to the shit show I’ve been dealing with.
They’re in 5gal fabric pots, topdressed with 2tbsp gaia green bloom, 1/2 tbsp 444, 4tsp mineralized phosphate around the start of flower.Topdressed again 2 weeks later with a 2-6-3 compost from sustane, about week 4-5 now and just did another half strength topdress with 284 and 444 again - I’ve had success in the past with a weekly topdress with 1/4 strength rates so wanted to try going halfstrength and every 2 weeks or so. Watering in with humic acid. I’ve also supplemented here and there with some biocanna flores, boost, fish hydro and Gaia’s soluble seaweed. And a weekly dose of molasses for the microbes I give every couple weeks.
About 2 weeks after the sustane I noticed a lower leaf looking possibly k def, a bit of lightning of fan tips, and then I noticed the veins of one of the upper fans turning brown with little lines coming off em. Also noticed some serrated edges turning up as though they’re having a transpiration issue, but temps are low if anything (15-16°night@~55-60%, 20-22 night @ ~50-55%). Never seen this before. The sustane does have some cal in there, and I have supplemented a couple times with egg shell vinegar +a tums tablet and Epsom salts (I ran out of calmag , which probably contributed to my problems with the other tent - I’m on well water and not 100% sure what’s all in there but seems like I get cal and mag issues if I don’t add extra), could it be she’s saying too much calcium? Have not checked her soil ph yet, but will do so.
I’m stumped and would love some suggestions so I don’t go chasing my tail again. I’m probably just over complicating things again.
also tossed in a few photos of what I think is manganese def - would love input on that too! She had similar treatment, but I think it’s a ph thing with her - testing at 6.7-7.0 depending where I check in the pot - I’ve read mn gets locked out above 6.5 so was leaning that way.
So - 2 different plants here : pics 1-4 are the future #1 **the one with the weird veins* am most interested in diagnosing this!** at about week 4-5 and the others are strawberry dawgpound about week 7- problems started with her about week 5-6, and bud development slowed to almost nil, so not normal fading.
Thanks in advance
