If you bought a 50 liter bag of mix, your results would be quite different.

there are, for example, 5 gallon bags that are really about 4 gallons if you pack the soil. then there are real 5 gallon bags, that hold 5 gallons.
these are noticeably larger than the 5 gallon bags most of us bought.

Dry measure volume (soil mix) isn't liquid measure volume (container size).

If 50lbs of soil is only filling a 50 L pot half way, IMO the soil is way too heavy.

Soil is peat ewc n pearlite it’s fluffy as shit lol watched a vid saying to measure soil using a 1l jug so I have been and seems to add up to the statement on the bags too
So don’t understand why the 55 pot be half ful? Unless they account for extra room for lighter soils extra stones etc ?

Maybe you got sent the wrong size pot. IMO a bigger pot means a bigger plant. Awfully hard to move 100L pot of wet soil though.

Just out of curiousity, what are the dimensions of the pots?
eg. my 10 gal pots are 15.5in tall by 16in diameter & the 25 gal are 18in tall by 22.5in diameter.

They are all like that. Grow bags that are called one or number one or one gal. or one ga. or one gallon, are all larger than the hard plastic pots with holes in them which are also calles ones. The grow bags hold more volume. Like one other poster mentioned liquid and dry measure are different because of air space or you might say density but these aren't units. One cup could have more or less, you cannot pack or fluff a liquid. Mixing gravel and sand will reduce the overall volume. Not with liquid. They may usually hold more than 3,780 milliliters, unlike a can of soda pop or something. They all seem individual, no standard. More material than advertised in my experience. I could go now and actually measure but them being larger seems to be enough for me. I won't use smaller ones when I have larger ones (grow bags). Air pots and smart pots are cool too. I am not sure whether we or the plants really care all that much honestly bucket or bin paper or plastic.

A five gallon bucket of moist ewc is just over 25lb. It sounds as if your mix is twice as dense as straight castings? I'm s their a boulder in the bag?

His 50lb bag filled half of his 50l grow bag. IME about 30lbs of ewc will fill half of a 50l grow bag. That means his soil mix is twice the weight per volume of just castings. That seems heavy unless its being weighed fully saturated.
