Where's the motor guy?
Lmfao. Thought about getting a crown Vic or a Marauder before. Good cars but idk. Kinda big.Post your cop car first
Beautiful. Stock 455? I forget what yr Pontiac switched from the 400s to 455sMy son on my Yamaha V Star 1100 back in the day.
My 71 Pontiac Lemans Sport and the 455 engine. I did all the crappy body work and had a shop shoot the color for me. Built the first engine at the Ft. Hood mechanic shop and had the latest one built for me as my engine assembly days are behind me. View attachment 5261402View attachment 5261403View attachment 5261404View attachment 5261406
My dad had a 74 t/a with a 455 brand new. Was stolen though.Beautiful. Stock 455? I forget what yr Pontiac switched from the 400s to 455s
What's too dangerous?Too dangerous. I was in a wreck at someone else's hands and they don't look safe to me at all anymore. The fun is gone from when I was a teenager. All I see now are potential injuries or worse from the lack of safety features compared to newer models. People didn't seem big on changing their oil over the years and there seems to be a consequence for that. People don't really know how to do the work at all yet there are glorified media projects like illegal racing television. You can say you are a mechanic, it doesn't seem to be worth much. People don't usually know where the air cleaner is in my experience.

The first one was, this has ported iron heads, solid roller cam with fairly high lift for a Pontiac, stroker crank, also .030 over so it really a 488 cu inch motor. Ceramic coated Super comp headers with Dual old school glass packs and a cut out to run open headers. Should be around 425-450 HP and 550-575 lb ft of TQ. I run conservative 3.55 gears in a Tru posi setup because it's mostly for cruising around town with an occasional beating of an import lol. Rumor has it there may be a blue bottle in the trunk for special occasions as well.Beautiful. Stock 455? I forget what yr Pontiac switched from the 400s to 455s
Haha nice! Love and hate relationship with the old cars with me. Can't beat the style of the 60s and 70s. But man, they always need work done. The first one was, this has ported iron heads, solid roller cam with fairly high lift for a Pontiac, stroker crank, also .030 over so it really a 488 cu inch motor. My favorite mustangs. They were fast but the ass end was way too loose on those 87-93 Fox bodies.
