Nothing shuts you down? WTF could be that importantRain , sleet, snow or sun I’m out here yup
76% humidity? How is that possible?
Only time we shut down is when my crane breaks. -40 is normally the time that happens.Nothing shuts you down? WTF could be that important
we shut down around 25f
Yeah fuck that. That’s cold whether it’s f or cOnly time we shut down is when my crane breaks. -40 is normally the time that happens.
Idk how it works, but when it’s this cold with a high RH it chills you deep down to the bone76% humidity? How is that possible?
It will rain just above freezing here and it's a miserable cold for that reason. I feel warmer when it's 20 degrees less because it's always bone dry as well. I couldn't imagine the combine effect of high humidity and deep negative temps.Idk how it works, but when it’s this cold with a high RH it chills you deep down to the bone
Nothing worse than chopping frozen mud out of tracks on heavy equipment. I don't know how you guys deal with that cold.Only time we shut down is when my crane breaks. -40 is normally the time that happens.

I haven't priced a CAT D9 dozer lately but I'm fairly sure they ain't cheap lol. We just cleaned the tracks really well at the end of the day if we played in anything muddy in the winter. If you were lazy or forgot, you paid the price at 0530 the next day.Run em until they stop, then grab another
For a D9 tracks to freeze up you have to be driving through thick shit.I haven't priced a CAT D9 dozer lately but I'm fairly sure they ain't cheap lol. Our only got used to do ripping with rock and sediment ponds because how much it could move. They'd get gummy in the VA clay pretty quickly. Backhoes we're way worse because how tight the track was. Man I miss being around large site, earth moving jobs. Love the smell of fresh earth. For a D9 tracks to freeze up you have to be driving through thick shit.
Also there is no mud here at these temps, our shut down for the rigs starts beginning of march and usually lasts the whole month.
