Looks way better than the tuna sandwich I had!!

Podiatrist just called....$800 for a pair of custom orthotics. Not covered by insurance!

She doesn't know how cheap I am :wall:

Already eyeing these bad boys for $27

I finally got some orthopedic shoes and I would say depending on how bad your feet hurt, 800 bucks is worth it. They're night and day different from my old shoes as far as comfort and feeling stable on my feet. I was fortunate that the VA covered two pairs for me 100%, sneakers and boots. I'd dig pretty deep into my wallet if I had to pay for them as they really made a difference. If it's recommended by a doctor, I think you can write it off as medical equipment for tax purposes.

Playing with the latest toy. Seems to work well. Might have to try a batch of jerky next. Or I might eat these and become jerky :eyesmoke:

Gotta get through my shitposting to get a good answer!
I've seen the Dr Scholls machines but never tried one....I have used their inserts before and they did help. I'll definitely try the machine. The doctor did put an insert in my shoe and gave me an extra one too.

I did seem to get a small amount of relief from the steroid injection. It's not so much pain as numbness with me, and it feels like there's a tight wide rubber band around all of my toes. Really more of an annoyance than anything.
