Remix: I'm surprised the Feds aren't in there already in hazmat clearing the town out- mold on your car? That's very, very bad Roger.

Reminds me of that coal mining town in PA, where they can't stop the fire in the mines and had to evacuate the town.
that's not where i live, fortunately, although there are days i would trade mold for tourists...

'Fake it Until You Make it' tech bitch keeps dropping kids so she doesn't have to do her time..too bad..stop having them. She's getting pregnant on purpose. She's got 11 years coming and will be out in 2 or 3. Nobody's just going to forget the THERANOS FRAUD.

Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of Theranos convicted of defrauding investors, is seeking to delay the start of her 11-year prison sentence because she has “two very young children” to be with.

The court filing last week represents the first public acknowledgment that Holmes gave has given birth to her second child. Holmes was pregnant during her November 2022 sentencing.

Her lawyers laid out several reasons to delay the prison sentence pending an appeal of her conviction, arguing that she’s not a flight risk or a danger to the community. It also said she has “two young children,” but didn’t reveal when her second child was born or their gender.

tough shit...it's not like she's going to be a good role model, hire a nanny and put her ass in prison.

when i say we have tourists like some places have locusts, i'm not kidding. Just short of 13 million went through the park, and at least half of them came through my town to either get there or go home or both. Then there are those who don't even care about the national park, and come for Dollywood, and all the other tourist attraction carnival midway shit.

1916 Sears catalog home. They shipped the entire house to you by railroad car. Sears was like Ikea before Ikea.
Friends and family would come from all around to help the owner build it.
Most were built in New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Sears sold more than 70,000 mail-order homes between 1908 and 1940. Some enthusiasts estimate that about 70% of Sears houses are still standing today.
Sears provided building plans and specifications, along with the lumber and any other materials needed. The shipment included everything from nails, screws, and paint to prebuilt building parts, such as staircases and dining nooks.

There is no situation where threatening a teacher, or anyone else, is acceptable because you don't agree with the syllabus...
When will parents figure out that they DON'T know a fucking thing about teaching, and allow teachers to do their jobs?
Parents don't what what to teach, why to teach it, when to teach it, what to teach it in conjunction with...They only know what they think should be happening, which isn't even close to what should actually BE happening...
and the poor kids get the fuck embarassed out of them, and they begin to realize that their parents don't have a fucking clue...and they get denied the education that all their friends are NOT being denied...So guaranteeing the next generation of ignorant fucks...

It's the fried Snickers Bars..you don't know tourism pain until you've lived in South Florida. Thank God spring breakers go to Daytona now..those kids that are wealthy go to South Beach.

Ever try to pick up a Lyft passenger from Port Everglades cruise ship? It's quite special.

Ffs. Every ffing day the moon is in the sky. Like full time, 24/7, usually same ffing spot. 16:00, from living room window

I thought it’s roughly a monthly thing, feels like we had 6 full moons in 2023 already. It’s bright too, like someone left on a stadium light at night.

Venus and Jupiter put on a nice show over the past two days but the moon is starting to become annoying.

You’re possibly experiencing a frameshift of the harvest moon effect. Around September the moon seems to rise at the same time near sundown for a few days around full. (Farmers found it pretty handy.) If you look at moonrise and moonset times for the last few days, you’ll notice that the moonset times are compressed.

This came after the Northern Lights visited NL.

Happens once or twice a year but this spectecular for days is very rare and something for which people travel 1500miles to north scandinavia.

My conjunction photo, with phone camera artifacts. Two moons above Jupiter’s disc.

Elections in NL in a couple of weeks. For “Provinciale Staten” and “Waterschap”. The former also appoints people to the national senate. The latter is a democratically elected extra separate branch of government specifically for water control (dikes, waterways, water level and quality - not directly for drinking water supply). Separate tax too. Easy pick for waterschap, pick politicians or engineers with relevant master degrees and experience. To dumb down elections we have a lot of “vote pointers”, sort of surveys to see which party you most agree with. Leading questions and false dilemmas most cannot answer because they aren’t informed enough. Also a very limited subset of issues that matter to make an accurate assessment about progressive vs conservative or left vs right.

Anyway, basically I don’t agree with any party. Where my progressive right homies at?

Party for the Animals, like greens but more focus on animal rights and welfare. I voted for them last national elections more or less as a protest vote, their leader is the most reasonable debater. But they also favor the return of the wolf and I do not, plus they are for raising taxes for things local governments (municipalities) or national government should handle.
