Issue with 1 plant of 10

Flipping to flower in a couple days. And have 1/10 plants having an issue. It looks like classic mag def to me.
It's been progressing for weeks.
At first sign of this on other plants I added Epsom salts, then calmag to the mix. That fixed all the other plants. They are mostly perfect. This one just keeps getting worse. I don't mind mixing up feed for just this one plant. When this plant didn't respond to the magnesium or the calmag I tried more Epsom salt, then calmag. It did nothing to this plant. the Epsom did nothing for any plant...i am thinking epsom salts are bullshit until i see otherwise. i never notice them doing much in any of my grows. calmag, yep that does stuff.

pH is 5.8
Gh nutes with some Epsom salts or calmag.
Temp 76 lights on, 70 lights out.
Rh is 65 to 75 percent.
So, great environment.

Just one picky plants. I have another plant that acts up and craves calmag until it starts burning the leaf tips....both are coincidentally from twenty20.

Should I worry about it?
Disregard the algae, it has no bearing on anything. it is due to high humidity and will change once in flower. i can remove it to make it look nice, but it's not needed.

Cover the pot in panda film to prevent the algae.

I'll never understand how one plant out of a bunch will have issues. Sometimes they are in a shared bed, getting the same nutrients, under the same light. I think some plants just suck at living.

Third pic screams calcium. The one time "more cal-mag" is actually the answer. haha

it's getting calmag, like 200ppm per watering which is half dose 2x a week. it also has burnt tips, unlike the other

the algea isn't a problem at all, there is a small amount on the very top of the top layer of perlite...it goes on its own and doesn't impact anything.
i have another weird one from the same breeder....i think twenty20 makes their seeds for outdoor...it shouldn't matter but perhaps it doesn't do well with LEDs.

this one was one of the last ones to get watered each feeding.
perhaps the very bottom of the nutes buckets has a slightly different ph than what i measured on top...that is the only thing i can think of which make this different other than genes.

Honestly I think its more to do with the actual needs of the particular phenotype. Not much you can do. Some are more hungry than others. Like two kids from the same family that eat the same yet one kid is fat and one kid skinny. :bigjoint:

PH drifts are real, only just recently learned about that as funny as that sounds. I will say, I had lock out from adding calmg to gh flora and did great removing it, had the same issues.

I get no algae ever with just 1ml h2o2 /gal so it isn’t that costly and does work. I read algae can feed off nutes or product harmful things.

I run coco but would imagine anything resembling dwc or hempy buckets would be more tedious in terms of keeping the pot in check.

My two cents in case I am wrong on the fact that at first glance I think you have been growing much longer than me but this is trial/error after all.

How are you monitoring the ph and EC? Is this a hempy bucket? What is it? How often is it fed? Tap water?

The vpd is in the danger zone of under transpiration for this phase growth, that can cause issues, what light do you have? Perhaps the answer lies within those questions.

Pearlite dries out immediately. Hope that helps, I would hate to chuck a fixable plant after a month handling it. This is how I would diagnose if it were mine.

ph drifting isn't too important in hempy. they use up most of the res, then you fill it up again with ph'd water. i do a flush about every 5 or 6 weeks, but it doesn't need it at all. when i first started hydronutes i was having to flush occasionally because ppm level would get to 1000+ in the res output when putting in 800 or so. i don't/can't feed these 2gal like that.

perlite does retain water. that is false. in fact, i got root rot a couple times from less coarse perlite. i have a reveg in perlite that has fungus gnats in th garage tent (given to me in some clones from a dude)...the perlite won't dry completely.

i use peroxide heavily already. i the humidity gets up to 80 or even more sometimes. it's veg, they like it humid. i don't get algae on my coco either...
not chucking it...lol. it still looks pretty good and will give bud.
the problem started before adding calmag. so, removing calmag isn't going to fix anything. i tried to not use calmag this run. all the plants did not appreciate it. some didn't act normal until i started using the calmag. i had another strain that got frilled leaves. when i water with calmag they go away for a day then come right back.

yes, hempy perlite in a 2gal. i always run hempy 2 or 5gal for the last 8 years on/off due to sobatical. ppm total is 550 to 600 with tap ppm just under 300. if i go over 600 at least one or two will get nute burn. i know some can take more, but i don't have time to treat each plant separately. a one off is ok, but a bunch of different nute regimes would kill me. there are 9 other veg plants, each different strain in the same setup. i have still have an auto in the tent that is in last week of flower and a reveg tent from the last round.....and I have a retarded seedling that popped 36 days after planting it. I will probably never order twenty20seeds again. i had major trouble getting them to germ and the plants are bitches that don't like gh nutes.

vpd is low, leaf temp is 71, but when i run colder i get other issues. LED should want a higher temp. when i turn up the heat, the plants grow a lot in a short amount of time. when i turn up the humidity the couple plants with cupped leaves uncup them. best grow in this setup was over the summer, temps were as much as 81 with humidity about 65.

What is your npk with you solution of gh and ppm?
I'm going to guess you could be over doing potassium and locking out calcium.

Ok nice, yea, I haven’t done hempy or dwc or even automated coco yet but making that next step taught me quick how solution sitting around can get nasty quick.

And when ever there are root issues rotting out or drying out, plant can die or never grow right.

Yea I figured you grew much longer than me and now that you say it might be a shotty breeder/bank, I have seen that before.

I hope the extra added info brings in someone that can help you!

i was growing on my own in 2002. first was in 2000 looking over another dude. i ran a big facility, like life in prison size, in 2003. all soil, the last two were organic. paid for college. then i took a break until about 2014 and just messed around with hempys during the cooler part of year in the garage.

i fixed root rot every time i had except once...it still made it but i could get rid of it

i had noted that when researching, but passed over it because i think it's low. tell me if you think otherwise. actually not sure precisely the ratio, gh is 7-4-10. calimagic is 1-0-0. half or more of the ppm come from 1-0-0.
