2 Americans Found Dead; 2 Found Alive in Mexico Kidnapping

U.S. and Mexican authorities had been searching for the four Americans since they were kidnapped in Mexico last week after they crossed into the country from Texas for a medical procedure.

i think there is more to it as well......who goes from the carolinas all the way to matamoros....now that a road trip........

thanks Barn, i heard it was for some form of operation or something.......Dangerous place to go, think i would have researched a little more than go to that state.......maybe Mexico city is an option and you can fly in........Matamoros has always been dangerous, that was designated back in the 90's

Border towns are bad, that started in the 90's, most of the rest is pretty cool to go...js

and when it comes to the cartels...the populus is more inclined to trust them more than the federal police force, sad to say

make me wonder why we gave it back to them after the Mexican / American war.....US should have just kept it

IKR? Costa Rica or even Singapore before I'd go to Mexico. They were looking for cheap, probably, sad to say.

Brownsville in the 60s, dad wouldn't leave the truck unattended, much less drive across the river.

yeah i was going down there in the 90's, Matamoros was bad at the time, Reynosa, which is just north a little wasn't to bad, Neuvo Laredo was ok for the time being, Del Rio was ok at that time but it was starting to get like Matamoros. The people i knew and used to hang with, litterally we start telling me "enjoy you time here cause things are coming, and i saw things were changing as well" think the last time was in 98 to Laredo, walked across you would get bombarded by people trying to sell ya shit, and that was the last time i went. I also did stents in the interior as well and along the coastal areas. Some beautiful country down there, beautiful people, and food you could die for.....but no more.....i still talk to a few people, but even they tell me don't come, to dangerous now.......i miss the day where i could sit on the beach, have a six pack on ice with salt and just watching the people......
