The Cardinals stay year round here...Probably because I am a sucker and feed them all winter. I'm planting a ton of sunflowers this year!!

Mid afternoon coffee break. It's still snowing and I'm going to plow soon...About 5 pm I guess.

Still working on setting up the new computer. I think everything is transferred...Just have to see if my printers are going to work. The one HP was always wifi only but no wifi on the new computer so we shall see. I can always buy a $20 wifi dongle. Fingers crossed!!

I stopped feeding at the end of September. The squirrels were getting too fat.

Ok i got another one for you.
Is it really bad to put some fresh and clear in while you are in there? Same goes for the weekly chlor brite. I aint got no time to put that shit in there and wait to get in. And same goes for when i’m done with the hottub. I aint gots no time to put shit in there and let it mix before i bail.

So… I'm a bit of a germaphobe and have had one too many infections on screwdriver poked fingers from working on improperly sanitized bodies of water LOL. I had to Google those products as I'm not familiar. But the fresh and clear is just a non-chlorine shock. And the clor brite is just sodium dichlor. But to answer your question I myself would never get in your spa without at least putting the chlor brite in first for a few minutes. And that's not cuz I'm afraid to get in with the chemical. That's so it has a couple minutes to kill anything that might have been in that water. The fresh and clear will help oxidize stuff so the clor brite doesn't get all used up. But the fresh and clear doesn't actually sanitize anything. So the clor brite is the real champion lol. And I still would put a little in after you get out. I would always rather get in water that is over chlorinated than under chlorinated. But that is just me.

You would love his job...He got hired at a ski resort in Campton part time and he gets to ski for free anytime.
LOL when I left the first thing they said was "but how are you going to get a pass?" LOL buy it silly. I'd much rather buy the pass lol

You can volunteer and get a pass, it's only 29 days to work.....

Edit: I put in almost as many years. It's not always easy being out there all the time. Had some really tough days fighting mother nature. But it also put me out there for the once-in-a-lifetime ones.......and fortunately I've had many :blsmoke:

We use Cal hypo to shock the shit out of algae blooms. Mostly vinyl pools with a sprinkling of fiberglass out these parts. People either use erosion feeders with the trichlor or salt systems. But not too many plaster concrete pools out this way. Cal hypo all day just make sense with those, getting the calcium they need.
Didn't know you were a pool guy. My dad was in pools and spas my whole life so I had a spa since I was like 4. Ours is turned off at the moment but I like to use regular bleach in it. My well water already has plent Ca. The water is always crystal clear. I do have to add a little acid though to lower the hardness and pH after adding fresh well water though. But it becomes kind of a saltwater spa I guess. People seem to like it better than bromine.

And the pool show was cool. And it is official I'm going to Costa Rica November 28th through December 3rd.
I'd go to those with my dad and a friend and we would go all around and get all kinds of free shit. The Home Show in the Kindgdome every year was always fun. I'd be in there when it was closed to the public and help set up. We'd roam all over the stadium and go walk around the upper decks. Felt cool being kids to be in all these usually restricted areas.
