Trump To Turn Himself In

I would still like to see how New York even gets trump into a courtroom if he is indicted. desantis would have to issue the extradition warrant and I doubt he'd be willing to do that. It would be the end of any national political aspirations he might have. So as long as trump stays in Florida New York can't touch him. These would be state charges not federal. New York can't just send their own cops to get him and even though the Palm Beach County Sheriff is a Democrat they may choose not to even serve the warrant to avoid any chaos. It's not a violent crime and trump poses no threat to the safety of Palm Beach County.

It's a long road getting trump into a Manhattan courtroom if he refuses to leave Florida which is almost a certainty if he's indicted.

Wow. trump makes some crazy rant filled post on his social media platform and people are popping the champagne.

trumps own lawyers say there has been no notification. Maybe wait until something actually happens before taking victory laps. If he is ultimately indicted he won't be sitting in jail for the years long trial that trump will drag out for as long as possible. He'll be playing golf in sunny Florida surrounded by opulence.

And on top of everything else he has an ACE in the Hole in case things start going south for him. His lawyers can claim that he isn't fit to stand trial which isn't much of a stretch. He'll just follow a page from his mob buddies playbook.

People underestimate how easily the judicial system can be manipulated especially for those with money and a team of lawyers.

"For nearly 30 years, Genovese crime boss Vincent Gigante pretended to be mentally ill to avoid prison."

Nothing wrong with a little positive vibes :p

I'm not speaking for anybody else but I saw Trump's message as a call to arms for his followers and am not celebrating that with champagne or anything else.

Trump posts about his arrest, urges protest; NY DA Bragg reassures his employees of their safety

9,391 views Mar 19, 2023 #TeamJustice
When it comes to inciting a violent riot, Donald Trump has priors. One need only look to the violence that erupted on January 6th, 2021, after Donald Trump posted, "Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!"

Now, Trump is at it again. He posted that he will be arrested on Tuesday in Manhattan and urges his supporter to come and "Protest. Take our nation back!"

This video explores the parallels between the two posts and uses an analogy to highlight why the federal authorities should act now, rather than leave this volatile matter to a local district attorney.

This video also looks at how New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg responded to Trump's post.

The only thing you can be sure of is somebody is going to get hurt before it's all over...

And Trump will deny any responsibility and blame it all on the prosecutors, the Democrats, the stolen election, Joe Biden, the RINOs, the media, the deep state, etc., etc.

History will hopefully roast his ass if actual history books aren't still banned 75 years from now.

I just hope his legacy isn't like that of Lee Harvey Oswald who kills a guy, changes history for the worst, and 70% of the people doubt it because of an Oliver Stone movie and the 500 books that don't mention the actual evidence in the archives that doesn't fit the author's narrative.

If they try anything violent in NY, it will be the magats getting hurt! Most people hate Trump's guts there and magats carrying signs in front of the courthouse had better expect insults that will likely drive the mentally unstable to acts of extreme rage!

I expect Trump's trial in Georgia will be where the real action is and it will be on TV, both inside the courtroom and on the courthouse steps, as MTG leads a charge of magats up the steps! If Donald is already in NY custody before his Georgia trial, he could appear in orange, or whatever color coverall NY uses for state prisoners. We don't know what the secret service will do, but Donald in a cage will be much cheaper to guard and make up for all the cash he ripped them off for on his golf weekends. They would just need one guy sitting at a desk outside his cell door and his only job would be to shove his food tray through the grub hole in the cell door. I would be a great job for an agent with a bad back or knee to finish off his time before retirement, light duty.

I think we need to consider how Trump will do his time and where, he might also be bankrupt before it's over and might have his sucker money from the big lie seized as part of a wire fraud scheme, there's been talk of it. Would they send Donald to prison? If he is convicted of a serious crime that normally warranted time and it would be up to the NY department of prisons, then after Georgia the Georgia department of corrections and the time he could get there would be substantial. (Do they still have chain gangs there? ) Finally he faces the feds and Jack could jump in at any time but should cooperate and coordinate with state prosecutors to grease the skids for Donald. Then there are a multitude of civil cases against him one of which is on trial now.

So, it appears to be state prison and federal prison for Donald, unless they want to send him to GITMO or some other island like Napoleon. Equality under the law demands prison, not house arrest, he cannot be treated with favor or disfavor under the law, so that could mean no special treatment other than solitary in an isolated part of the prison eventually, maybe make a dungeon under the capitol and keep him there? He will need to be kept at a maximum-security facility because he has a large armed domestic terrorist following, so staff security must be considered too. Besides the judge and jury should get thousands of death threats during his trial and that might weigh on his sentence and where he is incarcerated. He won't be going back to Mar A largo with an ankle bracelet eventually, the charges and time will stack up beyond his ability to serve it and he should be a candidate for the federal surpermax IMHO.

In the meantime, if he does or says anything stupid after indictment and while the judge owns his ass, he could end up in jail, even for bad manners in court.

Tbh I would watch a TV show based around this premise. Kind of like those "Amish in the City" shows that were on several years back.

This is somewhat built on the ending of those shows, the maga people have some experiences that cause self reflection and then they grow as people.

Edit: "a gyro you say...well anything this delicious can't be made by bad people... maybe racism really is wrong"
Especially with unlimited Tzatziki sauce for dippin'.

I don't think it's going to happen but it's as plausible as trump being paraded around in handcuffs on Tuesday like some seem to think. All that anyone knows is based on a post trump made. trumps own lawyers have said that they haven't received any notice. No DA is going to indict a former President without notifying the Attorneys. At this point trumps just stirring things up and it looks like he has gotten both the left and the right all riled up.

Even if he is indicted on Tuesday he'll just post bail.

He's in Florida and can fight extradition and remain free during that process which can take months

Extradition Bond
If you were arrested in Florida on a felony warrant issued in another state, then you can seek an emergency bond hearing in the jurisdiction where you are being held while awaiting extradition. This bond is often called the “extradition bond” in Florida.

Once the extradition process plays out in court then the Governor has to issue the extradition warrant. Would desantis do it? He could stall as well.

That trump is turning himself in on Tuesday is just something he said and is not based on any known factual information anyway. There is also the fact that getting an indictment is easier than getting an actual conviction. The star witness Michael Cohen is a disgruntled former employee that recently got out of prison. No credibility issues there. Reasonable doubt.

Looks like community based care is an option in New York. A good team of lawyers could make a case to a judge to go straight to that treatment. trumps wouldn't be in the same category as those that push people onto a Subway platform. There's no victim. Stormy got paid to keep her mouth shut.

1. Criminal Procedure Law § 330.20: Not Responsible for Criminal Conduct by Reason of Mental Disease or Defect
Individuals progress through a range of services including:
  • secure forensic facility care
  • non-secure adult psychiatric center care
  • community-based care
How about the American people?

Having a Sunday night puff.
Seriously, it's time the question of Donald's fate is addressed, house arrest or a cell with reduced secret service costs? It looks like he will accumulate time starting in NY and then in Georgia and finally federally. Equality under the law begins in court and might end there too, if Donald gets a gilded cage.

My money is on house arrest IF he is convicted of anything.
