I have used white for the last three years, I shake it up and use it.White vinegar or apple cider vinegar or?? How long would one let the water sit after dosing it with vinegar?

Those had issues before you flipped to flower. What's the soil, nutrients, and water you're using? And it's not a good idea to flip to flower if you're having issues. Better to solve the problem first if you can.Howdy Community,
I really wanted my first grow to go great. My plants were going great(ish, I developed what I think was a magnesium or calcium deficiency soon after flower - ran to the store and got the General Hydroponics Micro blend) and I ended up just letting them go probably two or three weeks too soon... Work got so busy Maybe this was "Bro Science" but I ended up listening to a YouTube video that told me to stop feeding it and to just let it cannibalize itself. Perked my ears up!
"I don't have to take care of them anymore??!!?!!? Sweet!"
Did that. Now they look dead, and the trichomes aren't getting any darker. I have the Cannabis Grower's Handbook by Ed Rosenthal - I should probably look at that... but I would like some fellow growers to give me their 2 cents if y'all don't mind.
Here is the first week of me switching to flower: IMG_6124. This was taken about January 21st.
Here is what they look like at this point in time + a Girl Scout Cookies auto flower that I started way too late (I graduate in May, lease ends in July): IMG_6405 through IMG_6407.
I am looking for someone tell me to cut the left two down. I just need a second opinion. I don't see ANY brown trichomes, and no development really at all. They look good ENOUGH, but I want an enjoyable high and not a shaky one. I would really like to share this with my sick Uncle as well - hence both my impatience and worry. I am sure he would also like an enjoyable high. He grew when he was younger and I don't want to disappoint him.
Much love,
Kyle
That's nice to know. Watching grow channels made me feel like I was committing a cardinal (is that the word?) sin by not correcting pH every time!I dont ph any water . Tap here low 7s to low 8 . Not an issue imo
I have heard a lot about Build a Soil, thank you for the recommendation! When I was starting I bought way too expensive of a pH pen to not measure at least once every couple times lolll. Got to get my money's worth! If you harvest early it will be a speedy high due to the trichomes being clear, as they mature and turn milky and then amber they produce a more mello high. The strain also play a role in the type of high of course.
I grow organic and I forgot where my PH pen is. Just water and top dress in flower and no flushing of chems. Try 707 soil or build a soil 3.0 both are great for organic beginner's.
Yeah, I was never able to fix the magnesium/calcium deficiency with the new nutrients I bought - the leaves have looked unhealthy since then. I didn't overfeed them I don't think, I would give nutrients probably once every other water, sometimes two.Easy isn’t always better. A 1/2 dose of feed can bring the ph down into the zone (6-7) on its own. There’s nothing to gain by flushing unless you’re seriously overfeeding them. You want them to be able to eat til it’s last day.
They grow/mature/age until the chop.
If those pistils keep popping up, and there’s nothing for the plant to eat, the leaves will start to die. Once the leaves in the bud die, rot will start to set in. Then, all your efforts are what ends up flushed down the toilet.
This plant not only looks like it’s hungry, but it looks like it’s incapable of up taking nutrients correctly. Which means flushing may not be the reason why it’s yellow.
I’m not pro, but that’s what my take from what I think I know.
edit: they really look like they can use some epsom salt. 1tsp per gallon of water.
I think lemon juice should have a good amount of citric acid in it. Just a couple drops corrects my pH. I have to pour veryyyy carefully lol.Grocery store should have it Can probably be found in baking isle for cheap A tiny amount reduces my pH almost a 1.0 and I mean tiny. Use a 1/8 tsp measure and I barely put any granules in it. Will last you a while
Mars Hydro TSL-2000.what kind of light are you using OP?
What issues did they have before flower? I had thought the leaves were a nice color. You are right, they did have a lot of three finger leaves, but overall they weren't crying for help. Is there something I missed? Thank you for your reply! Those had issues before you flipped to flower. What's the soil, nutrients, and water you're using? They're all droopy and skinny. A watering, pH, or lockout issue. That's why I asked for more info like soil, water, and nutes. What issues did they have before flower? I went to the Big Box and couldn't find citric acid in the baking aisle and they were out of aquarium PH.I have used white for the last three years, I shake it up and use it.
You know the organic acids once broken down becomes alkaline? Complete opposite to what you're trying to achieve?I think lemon juice should have a good amount of citric acid in it. Just a couple drops corrects my pH. I have to pour veryyyy carefully lol.
Flushing is for toliets, the only kind of flush that provides any benefit is flushing to remove salts accumulated in the soil from the use of synthetic nutrients. Feed to the end. At the point you're at now, harvest, cure, and use it as a learning experienceThey definitely aren't as fat as I would have liked - not sure if this is genetics or if it is because I started flushing too early. I will have to look into that thank you for pointing that out!
I was using 2ml of aquarium pH down to lower tap water from 8.1 to 6.5.White vinegar
