When I was younger and carried a bat in the car I kept an old softball mitt and ball so it didn't look like a weapon. DC has crazy laws about knives, clubs and stuff like martial arts weapons.

I got a Fenix TK16 a year or so ago and it's a bright SOB. I looked at some Streamlight tacticals but they were too expensive for me. I still carry an old school 5 cell MagLite (Thumper) in the car.Sure thing, the one in my every day carry bag is the Fenix PD35. I also have a few from a company called Streamlight that are excellent. They're buried in my bug out bag. The Fenix reaches 300 meters and uses the little CR batteries which are expensive but the amount of light is blinding. It also has a strobe button to stun somebody by basically blinding them. It works, I've blinded myself frequently checking itView attachment 5281522

allways cqarry a knife, we live in a farming comunity, and a knife is a vital tool to have to hand for dsay, extractuing sheep from fences, cutting bailing twine to repair fences for one, or to make a new belt out of it for to hold your trousers up, lol im a cheap skate, last bailing twine belt lasted me 20yrs.
but only a 3" max blade knoife around toqwn, there have been times ive had my old 5" blade knife in my posession, but i doubt you would get done for it unless your getting into some aggro, just forgetting you have your work knife would probably be a warning

my best trade on a knife was a can of skoal for a gerber ez out, i forget the model number.
i never used tobacco, but i use to pack a roll of dip at summer camp.
...my motto was...cash or trade ..nobody dips for free..lol
they need to start putting tabacco in rations again.
