550 paracord is the best thing to have with you for tons of emergency uses. My daughter used to have a small business making paracord bracelets that you could undo easily to use the paracord. She even made me a belt and rifle sling out of it. Great for replacing your shoe strings with as well.

4mm Drill bits
3mm Drill bits
Phillips head driver bit
Pliers
Permanent marker pen
Rivets
Hand-rivetter (I'm done with the mechanical one for the moment)
Tape measure
Multiple screwdrivers (not intended for their original purpose, but they come in handy for digging things out of other things)
A magnet (for picking-up all those rivet shafts & other ferrous detritus)
A few sticks of PE, det's & det-cord (just in case I decide to go fucking postal on this project)

Ex-Commando...;)

Right? my house is full of random tins and jars.
My dad collected old tin containers. Anything that did not have a barcode on it was a collectable in his opinion.

Mostly old Tobacco tins and some old Oil cans. There is a six of Billy Beer in his collection.

This is not a pic of his collection, although it is a reasonable display of the type of collection he has.

One of the most favored was a George Washington tin, much like this one.
