Pot Size?

Got 3 gallon Fiber Pots for Autos and both 5 gallon Fiber Pots and Plastic for Photos.

On my next grow would I gain that much if I bought and used 7 gallon Fiber Pots?

I have 4X4 Tent and only putting 3 or 4 girls in there.

Bigger pot doesn’t always equate to bigger yields.
It’s a combination of canopy size, pot size, training, environment, etc.
Going from a 5 to a 7gal pot won’t be as noticeable as going from a 3 to a 5. Imo.

they say that its best to grow autos in there final pots, so the larger the better, but if you stay on top of repotting, you can move autos from pot to pot.
but as cali says, it dont allways equate to larger plants, if you can maintain the growing medium, keeping it healthy. you can grow large plants in relatively small pots

Bigger pot sizes can lead to lack of oxygen(anaerobic) for roots in a tent without lots of airflow...go almost like half perlite and cococoir for big pots...1 big pot is ok for 2 plants in it at once lol

Well going with just Photos thinking of going from Fiber Pots to Plastic. But 5 gallon.

I'm thinking this is important. Make sure the Pots are full when you flip.

I always go with 7 gal for photos. 3 gal for autos is totally fine though.

FWIW, I've observed that cannabis plants are very shallow rooted and grow laterally more than down. I'm sure there are fine roots that go down, but the bigger roots go down a little but mostly to the sides.

Planting autos deeper in the pot ensures the roots are down...its never been a problem rooting in 2 or 3 autos in the same pot also then the larger pot will get filled everywhere with roots as they veg in.....some autos will not even fill a 3G pot halfway with roots.

No problem with Photos even though I have no plans on growing them in the future I was told not to transplant Autos.

Because some people don’t know how to up pot without causing stress or stalling the plant
If you do then they won’t reach potential of yield

I haven't reported Autos but I have Topped and Super Cropped. Did well but did stunt them.

As a general rule, to filter out the bullshit from established science, ignore any cannabis-specific advice.

Growing cannabis is 99% the same as growing a pepper or tomato plant and if anything, easier and more forgiving to grow.

One thing I'm afraid to ask. I hear so much you want to do this not this.

Talked with a Grower in a Greenhouse. Using Pro Mix has for several years. Mixing nothing in. I'm considering Sunshine 4. Was going to Mix some Organic Fertilizer in but I was told not to, I still might before the flip.

On my regular Garden I feed once I plant then Top Dress after it starts producing. Why does this not work on the Girls?

Got Tomatoes and Peppers doing great.

Sorry, if you want to grow big then stick them in the ground. I just watched a youtube video from Austrailia where a guy had growing a 35 foot Thai plant. No plastic pot involved. He said it was just going into flower. Guessed it would flower for 4 months. Let's see, 35 feet probably 10 foot across, how many grams is that?

My guess it 6 to 12 lbs.

I have also used Pro Mix HP and Sunshine Mix #4 straight out of those 3.8 cubic foot bales without adding anything. Your greenhouse grower is correct.
