Interesting bit of trivia, that song was written about GL’s then girlfriend Cathy Smith, who you might know better as the woman who later ended up giving John Belushi the fatal speedball.

Kinda gives the lyric “sometimes I think it’s a shame when I get feelin better when I’m feelin no pain” a prophetic air to it.

At the risk of being melodramatic I truly believe everyones life would be better with more Gordon Lightfoot in it. I don't think one can say that about many things so I feel the need to say it now.
