He's really not a cuddly dog, which is kind of a bummer. Not sure if that comes later. But he has been doing this at night after our walk and bully stick…

Mine isn't a real cuddler either , connected at the hip but not a cuddler . He does the same chin thing and swear I can feel the love through that chin and the content look in his eyes . Just a totally relaxed , not a care in the world look . Same way Bluey looks in your pic .

I always wanted a beagle when i was growing up but ended up getting a Beagle/basset mix, Gabe.
man I loved that dog. He loved food so much he once ate charcoal briquets because they smelled like burgers.
Once Mom had the dinner table all set and we left for 2 minutes and there was my hound dog standing on the table helping himself.
We tried to teach him a lesson once and put cayenne pepper in a sandwich we left on the table. He loved it and wanted more.
I loved that damn dog.

As a young boy my parents had a Weiner dog then later a jack Russel terrier. One of those dogs was way cooler than the other. Beagles are cool too. I would have considered a beagle had one presented itself. My neighbors had a beagle growing up and it was just a nice docile dog.
