So #4 is 100% male.

I initially thought about trying to graft again, but it can wait. I have way too much going on at the moment. I think this failed attempt was a sign from some higher power.
The females that rooted have been placed into cups, and so have 3 Gary Payton clones that rooted as well. Been trying to manage the other 2x2, but I think I need to call a few friends to come pick up some plants.

Here are the plants. This is day 49 since breaking soil.
Up first is #2

Nodes are alternating now, so I’m unplugging the light. Removing the timer to set it up for flower. I want to set the timer to run over night, so I’ll reset the timer in the tent in the evening.

I’ve already snipped off the lowest growth that’s not going anywhere. I may only strip a few leaves off later in flower for air flow. We’ll see how things go.

I figured a way to stretch the net out a little more by connecting a few straps (3) that usually come with every inline fan.

If anyone is reading this and has a small tent 2x2’, 2.5x2.5’ these nets are awesome.

2pk of nets for 8.99 USD
Each net has 6 hooks that you can rearrange.
I picked up 2 sets, and will only use one for now so I stole a few hooks from the unused set to anchor on the strap. Hopefully this works out well in the long run. So far so lucky. :bigjoint:A2A21857-B7B1-4B2E-893A-B743DDDC82C8.jpeg9DD51A0D-D6A8-4B12-AA63-EF86FD6427FB.jpeg2C35D04D-149D-4995-B50A-0EF84141A9B3.jpegCB9A88EF-18F3-4780-A1A3-7883B0D2C531.jpeg40C781BE-6B46-421D-83DB-C1799B06DA22.jpeg
With the light at 25% I’m seeing the tops on #3 are shying from the light. Also a little stress on the tips. This will change hopefully when I start tucking that side down.

That’s all I have got now. Be back in a couple days once I start bending branches.:weed::bigjoint:

Cool man! If you're looking to graft, doing so in a fresh harvested plant is best. Save some good green growth on the stems, and cut a 'v' like a cave into it. Then take your cut and cut a 'v' into it like a point so the sides are both stripped on a 45°. Selecting very similar size branches is key. Sterilize both with peroxide and stuff em together. Pinch the base stem closed and drip a drip or two or peroxide water on it around the cut and wrap it quick with grafting tape. Affix something rigid to the two stems holding them together like a peice of wire and wrap it on with the grafting tape. Mist the cutting and wrap in a bag filled up with air. Something like a grocery produce bag (clean) will work fine. Air it out and mist it at least twice a day for the first few days then ease up on the misting and continue airing it out or open a small tear in the bag and increase its size every day until the plant doesn't wilt anymore. Bingo got your self a grafted cannabis plant. Doesn't always work but ya.. also make sure you water the pot but don't over water it.

I gotta try it like that. I didn’t have any leaves on the stalk that was left. I did make the cuts in the stalk and the clone pretty decent, but no water was traveling up the stalk, so it dried out quick.
I appreciate your feedback, and suggestion.
Eventually I’m going to give it a shot the way you explained.

Day 54 since breaking soil/ Day 5 since flipping to 12/12.
Only been able to tuck two of the branches so far. Was thinking that maybe I will Supercrop a little lower if the stretch really takes off. I don’t want to come within 16” of the light. That’s my goal. (To keep that minimum distance from the light.) I’ll prune as needed.

I have really good vibes coming from #2 (directly above this)
The stalk is as sturdy as ever. I can’t wait to really see this light go & the reaction of these plants.
Number 3 has been a little shy when it comes to the light. New growth twisting, and making me think 25% is too much for her.. we’re just going to let her be for now.. after all these are tester seeds. The keepers aren’t always the most obedient.

Feeding hast started with maxibloom @ 1tsp p/g, and 1g of epsom salt every watering during the stretch, and every other there after. Plain water in between with 1.5g of epsom salt in every gallon.
I’ll report back tomorrow. :peace:

I took pics of the tops that I used to weed out the males.
So far they look pretty good. One of them has gotten a little color due to the cool nights.
#3 hasn’t skipped a beat even with the lighting schedule changing twice over the past few weeks. No sign of revegging.
EC9DD4A0-B604-45E9-BDCF-D56FA58B40B2.jpeg41C61F28-EA01-4792-9295-260BE59F3590.jpeg16AD4A26-D835-41EA-9534-9C24A90F0A2D.jpeg9969A024-8923-4A49-8AEB-80DFE1193051.jpeg0332CB0A-C61E-4A79-9029-39B57C50C119.jpeg
#2 above looks like it may reveg, and go through the funky growth phase in between. I’m fine with that because the last plant I revegged turned out pretty sturdy.

Day 58 from sprout / Day 9 since the flip
The ladies are making Papa proud showing me those first pistils. :weed:
IMG_5676.jpegIMG_5668.jpeg
I’ve just given them a watering.
1gal tap (ph 7.6)
Added 1g epsom
6.5ml Advanced nutrients Sensi calmag xtra
4.5ml of Petra tools brand fish & kelp emulsion (stanky sh!t) lol

The additives dropped the ph to 5.8

Since I’ve been in these 1gal pots for a while, and I’ve already started to add things to the soil, I rather bump the ph above 6.2 at this point going into flower.
My ph up of choice was by TnB Naturals. I just happened to win a giveaway, so I figured I’d give it a shot. NPK is 0-0-46. I’ve actually never seen a proper label for ph solution as the old bottles I have were from eBay. Who knows what it actually is.. but it did the job I guess.
I’ve never used a powder before now, but it didn’t take much to bump the ph to 6.3
Only about 1/8 tsp was used. IMG_5692.jpegIMG_5693.jpeg

I got a few more pics from today. Did a little bending on #3, and widened the gap between the branches on #2. IMG_5674.jpegIMG_5667.jpegIMG_5670.jpegIMG_5671.jpeg
I lifted the net up just a little in the corner so I can slide the branch to the square in the corner.
Not trying to rip any leaves off. IMG_5677.jpeg
I pinched the internode to soften it up & lowered the net after I got her head outta there.
IMG_5684.jpeg
We are only a week +2 days into the stretch.. I may be able to get the new growth bent & tied down in the square to the right.

There are a couple branches down below that I left on Incase they didn’t stretch much. They may get to play ball after all. However the lowers that will be in the shadows were taken out.
IMG_5681.jpeg
the above pic is of the front left corner at the door of the tent… aka the larf loft. (Right under the net, already in the shadows)
The shoot on the inside is where the attention needs to be. The light is beaming down on it. :weed:
The light has done an awesome job at only 25% power in veg. I can’t wait to see what it can do in flower cranked up.
