I realize this is an old thread but, what ever happened with the MSS? Been chasing for a while to no avail. Thnaks

Heres the problem is though the vut i had was what is known to some as mss it is not what others remember as the mss roadkill skunk. It was verified by some top growers and breeders but was not what I was after. Plenty of peeps have it and I might be able to help you find it if you dm me for cut locating

Yup you ask anyone in the know thats what they say its dead and whats going around as the mass ss cut isnt the proper one i think some folks just wanna cash in on the name tbh the guy who found/made it is skunk va s mentor they even say its gone

That's what I have heard also via Gaby and Notso on that podcast. I assume the original cut may be lost but given it's tendency to herm so easily and early enough to create viable seed, I would think there would be a ton of s1 seed stock that people ran and a close copy must still exist...I would think. I have no leads although I see examples of grows every once in a while that look spot on. My attempts at gleaning some info towards acquisition always fart out. They seem to want to hold it close. There was a post just this month over on IG that was about as spot on as it gets. I inquired and the grower indicated it was a cut from 98 or some thing like that. They were not interested in sharing much more info than that though. Always hunting.

Well a S1 does not always mean you will find something close/a replica to the mum it really comes down to the strain being s1d really cos some s1s stick close to the mother others are nothing like it cheese would be a good example of this the s1s they aint very close to the cut ime still good stuff in there but it turns out different so its worth bearing that in mind idk if mss would be close in a s1 or would the genes segregate anyone on here ever find anything close to the mss in s1s i wonder ?

I think anyone selling SS seeds these days is questionable. It was an amazing strain though. It was the first flower I ever smoked. Think I was 13 at the time?

I just ordered some critical crosses. Not exactly the same, but very nice skunk genetics along similar lines to SS imo.

Also akbb's NL1/NL5 x Super Skunk is a steal at $60. The grows I've seen all looked very nice.

completely agree. I have found alot of very similar expressions in the s1's on several different varieties I have worked with but I have never come across "identical".
