jesus fucking christ, what will it take for the texas legislature to pull their fucking heads out of their asses?
Perhaps a gunman making it into a session of their legislature and killing a few dozen of them might get their attention? Will they send thoughts and prayers then? maybe some flowers?
Do none of them have kids in school? How could a parent with a child in school in texas NOT be trying to relocate, anywhere else?

Yes, those are the things that need to happen, as terrible as it is. The situation won't improve until both sides of the political spectrum are invested and we are a long way off from that. Once old white people get shot in their churches and bingo halls, and white trash gets shot over petty crime, then maybe it changes.

Till then it's a culture war tactic. Republicans fuckin hate schools and books, kids getting shot isn't going to sway them, besides those kids reading books are likely to become democrats anyway.

Sounds right...Nothing like a good upbringing to instill values in children...And I'm sure that was nothing like a good upbringing.

I am just trying to wrap my head around this being the best case scenario that you tell your child. "Well baby Laurie, let me tell ya something brother, your dad went out for some turnbuckle grease one day and then out of nowhere the undertaker popped up brother and tombstoned him. He couldn't come back because Paul bearer wouldn't let him out of the casket."
