Humidity Dome

Sonoran Roots

Probably a stupid question but is it safe to use a humidity dome before transplanting outdoors? Just didn’t understand light cycles from indoor seedlings to outdoor vegging. Any thoughts?

if seedlings 3 weeks old you wont need to worry as there starting to feed from roots, as far as light if growing out side, ie with out green house , poly house etc, well your going by time table of mother earth, most come to full flower in October, depending on were you live

try using vitalink plant start and root stem, realy plucks them up from start, you can use plant start to soak seeds as well, before planting

Silly rabbit, domes are for clones!

edit: Before you transplant, what you will want to do is slowly, over several days to a week, introduce them (harden them) to real sunlight, start in partial shade during the brightest part of the day and slowly increase the amount of full sun. Sunlight is stronger that artificial light.

I live in AZ. It will reach 115 in the next month or so. Will I have enough Veg time with SFV OG?
They’re all in seedling stage still in AC infinity dome kit. Should I just break down and buy an indoor tent because of my location?

there are many that grow successfully outdoors in Az. But you’re going to have to provide some kind of shade for extreme heat days, and water them like crazy. They’re not going to start to flower much before late August. If you have indoor space a tent might be easier.

in n Ireland we call them propagators, I love it when you find diff names for things 1st class dome dude happy growing and mean that in the most pleasant way

I kept my seedlings in the dome for about a week after they sprouted. I opted to grow indoors but my tent won’t be here for another week. Should I take them out of the dome or keep them in? If I put them in the natural sunlight can I re put them into a tent under artificial light?

Once seeds have sprouted, you don't need the dome anymore. If you are going to grow indoors, keep the plant indoors. Moving plants in and out is a great way to introduce funk and pests to your indoor grow area.

I have been keeping a fan/ humidifier on them with the vents open. The air is tickling the leaves just enough. No stem movement just foliage so that’s seems ok. I’m keeping it between 77-81 degrees but having a hard time keeping humidity at a constant. Fluctuates a lot which has been fun. Lol. My tent comes on Friday (2X4X6) AC INFINITY. Just need to make it through another week. Def don’t want problems.

This morning Day 7 Seedlings. Do they seem like I can hold them in the dome so I can keep ‘em safe for another week or nah?

Be aware once the dome comes off it will increase how frequent you need to water. Leaving it on can cause problems so I would take it off
