Are long limbs normal for outdoor plants

I’m a new outdoor grower, and wondering if long limbs without much foliage is normal. Looks much different than plants under led. This one is day 39, and right at 30”. Do these limbs fill in with buds later?

Actually, the plant looks pretty good. It looks like a sativa and they are usually taller and more stretched out than what you would grow inside. If you top it it will get a lot bushier. The limbs don't fill in. You only get growth from nodes.

I don't grow in pots except to start plants. I look at the earth as being one big pot so I grow in the ground. I'm lucky to live on a farm so there is plenty of room to grow in the ground. But, if I was growing in pots and had a plant that I would look at two different options. First and easiest is just top it and let it bush out. Second, I'd look at cutting off about the top half and cloning it. I wouldn't get quite that radical unless you have done some cloning on a smaller scale.

It's a nice plant. Probably best to just top and let it grow.

I have topped it once. Was trying to decide if I should do it again, or not.

Normal, and it will look more full the more foliage you get on the outside. I have some that are thin like that. I figured it was due to strain and nutrients. I have manure and hay in my soil--not evenly distributed. Seems to me that "volunteers" do it more so than clones but I know that strain matters.

And I always top. Otherwise they get huge but I don't grow in pots.
