I have been growing with 2 "250watt" CFLs and 100 watt of fluro. I am switching to a mars hydro ts 1000. Will I see a marked difference in growth?

Yeah, I remember on the box the CFLs came in it said equivalent to other bulbs. Things have really changed in the last 5 years in measuring light.

OK so the CFL bulbs only have like a 26 watt output, "equivalent to 250 watts" i think it means at peak operation (CFLs have to kind of "warm up") it's as bright as a 250 watt incandescent bulb to your eyes, in a living room lamp.

The "equivalent to" means squat for growing. Example: your new TS1000 was once--- or maybe still is---touted as a "1000 watt HID equivalent". .
.it most certainly is not. Maybe in terms of your eyes staring at it, but not in terms of TRUE light intensity for flowering cannabis.
