Also let's be clear, I am only newly leaning how to grow and not kill plants, LOL. My gardening skills are a work in progress.
Last year I planted too late and lost almost everything to frost before I could harvest anything. Five years of trying to grow asparagus... I gave up this year and pulled all the crowns. I pulled all my strawberries and overhauled the soil contents, all this year. It's my first time growing bok choy, romaine, shallots, red onions, cherry tomatoes and of course cannabis. I've grown tomatoes but not San marzanos and not from my own seeds. Lots of new this year and I'm adding 6 new kinds of bearded iris to the garden this year when the rhizomes come in late July. This is the most vibrant and successful my garden has ever looked really, but I finally sat down with some reading material and learned, so I could do better. Unquestionably, there's room for improvement. Which reminds me, this year I'm going to try a floating row cover to protect my golden zucchini because last year, in the bed my onions are in now, my zucchini was savaged by squash vine borers.
