300W LED or 1000W HPS?

Thanks for all the replies. I did my research and have no confidence in LEDs...will upgrade to 1000 hps in the near future.

I do have confidence in LED in the future. Those new street light that there putting in Hummm?., I bet those will work. I do cut the cost in electricity by using LED or CFL in seedling & Vegetable stage, Not good for flowering, CFL and LED are very good for clones, seedlings, Vegetable stage, Pre/Flowering stage. then after the plant stops growing 2 to 3 weeks into flowering then I add the Big boy H.I.D. 400W H.P.S. Closer you can get to a Magenta Spectrum is best for plants. I use the H.P.S. with 2100K Spectrum very RED, then I also have 125w Apollo 6400K Daylight. Dual Spectrum is always best for flowering for a yield booster. I also would not use a 1000w you can get more light, closer to plants, More ground cover with two 400w H.P.S. than a 1000w H.P.S. I obsolete my 1000w when I saw what two 400w can do.

HTG Supply's has the best prices for new Magnetic and Digital HID blast. I'm so far happy with HTG Supply and Apollo.

I have a 600w digital dimmable HID light that I switch MH/HPS and also several LEDs, both have awesome features, if going with LED go with a good company and try to avoid the blurple spectrum lights they don't produce good density high quality buds like red / white spectrum LED's do.

No 300 is to little. You will need 1600 watt led to make 1000 watt hps

I like reading through these old threads. Its amazing how far LEDS have come now. The same LED technology that was costing $100 back in 2014 you can get now for a couple hundred bucks.

Why Yes I do realize that. I've been using them longer than 9 years and even 9 years ago, that was some silly math.
