I've been wanting to setup a drip irrigation system for awhile now. Looks like a nice simple way to get it done. Can you rotate the plants 180° with them attached? I spin mine every day to keep one area from being in the lights hot spot for more than a day at a time.I also set up an automated watering system using 6" drip rings with ball valves. It's going to a tote with an air stone and some pumps all set to a timer.View attachment 5283734
I can move them out by disconnecting the drip ring. The hose just pops off pretty easily, but the ring itself has 3" spikes Pressed into the dirt. I wouldn't be able to spin the plant but I could probably swap them pretty easily. The way the piping is cut I need the inlets to be in those spots.I've been wanting to setup a drip irrigation system for awhile now. Looks like a nice simple way to get it done. Take a 1/2" x 24" long hose zip tie the end. Then coil it up and burn holes in the top. You should be able to place that in the pot coiled around the base of the plant. If the holes are on the top they most likely won't clog. You could then use a ball valve to adjust the flow of the hose. I use buckets for food service to measure water on a timer. I currently have mine set to give about a liter per 2 minute cycle. Good luck. I'm sure with some time you will get it sorted. Thanks for answering. I have a pretty bad back and I water with a turkey baster that takes a LONG time being bent over to reach. As I get older it's taking more of a toll on me. I really want to go automated but I'm too set in my ways for my own good lol. The new Spider Farmer light has a nasty hot spot right in the center 1 sq ft of the tent and if I don't reposition the plants that spot will cause light stress. Maybe if I add an extra few feet on the hose I can get away with some rotating still.
Best of luck with the new flower run. Subbed up and brought my own popcorn
