Gnats

Still having a problem in my Grow with Fungus Gnats.

But I have them in the house. Chicken House and by our Apartment because they decided to run the Grey Water in a ditch and was to put gravel in it and cover it.

Because really it is so dry they are not as bad.

I was told oh you are over watering. No they are dry when I water twice a week or there abouts.

Yellow stickies for the adult flyers and 3 drenches with Gnatrol for the larvae.
Been using Apple Cider Vinegar, Water and Soap it has been putting the hurt on them.

Another Grower. I never have trouble with Bugs.

Yes you don't realize how small they are.

Had Aphids and White Flies in my Garden simple to get rid of but got to looking. Praying Mantis and Lady Bugs.

Do what effex says and use microbe lift BMC BUT ALSO put a thick layer of perlite on top of the pots, that’s the only way I was able to beat them. Put bmc or beneficial nematodes in any soil you plan to use as well. Took 7 days (after laying out yellow traps too) and I’m now gnat free at least above the soil.

Ok before I seen many Gnats. I used everything I had on hand.

I messed up and used way too much Mosquito Bits and my Girls suffered badly. We picked every Bad Leaves off.

Last time I watered used straight water. Looked yesterday only seen one live Gnat, today none.

I was thinking of watering with the correct amount of Mosquito Bits again but rethinking it and considering plain water again.

I know the Gnats are not the problem but I think I already have enough in the soil.

Just put the bits in the medium. They relase Bti every time you water, as well as leaching out into damp soil.
There's really no way of knowing how much Bti is being released with Mosquito Bits, plus the exorbiant price of them.
At least with BMC MicrobeLift, you know what's going on for dosages and timing.

With instructions I'm to soak so many Tablespoons for 30 minutes then pour around plants. Every week for 3 weeks.

Like I say I have put everything on them I put Mosquito Bits around them at first and I used Peroxide.

When I messed up I had half a bag of Mosquito Bits and made a Tea and used it on all 3. Next day they looked bad.

I was going to cut them back and repot them. Another Grower told me NO! He came in pulled the bad leaves off and showed many Buds. Told me off again. LOL

I'm thinking for now just water and be vigilant.

Those are sugar, yeast, salt ,water.
The unproven mode of action is mosquitos get lured by co2, drink salt water (or boric acid water in similar products) and die....

First, no one actually catches mosquitos in there because thats not how they feed.
Secondly, there's nothing in there to kill gnats, except drowning.
