Ok no I have a problem
From what I was told yesterday I was over watering my plants. I watered them on Saturday night, didn't water sunday or monday and today my plants are thinning out all the leaves are pointing straight down on a few of my plants. I went ahead and watered them but whats going on? lol
and those leaves turned even more yellow and brown on the bottom. Sorry for being so much trouble

Forgot to mention when I watered the plants the water like went right through as soon as I poured it in. It soaked up some water but it leaked out the bottom withing 2-3 seconds of me pouring in. As well as the green is getting lighter on most of the plants too.

Edit: Just checked them and the leaves are going back up, but the yellow leaves on the bottom then have a little brown on them are curling up a bit and drying out. All the plants are turning lighter green. Do they need more nutes? I'm using a 400w MH, I thought I was over watering at first so didn't water for 2 days then they got all sad and sickly looking :(

Can you post up some pics so we can take a look. I would say that over watering is the problem. Do you have a moisture tester?

Im just posting from experience with something that sounds similar to ur problem. How old are they?
Mine were only like almost 2 weeks and I was having this problem.. I was using a mix of peatmoss, vermiculite and perlite.. I found out later that the peatmoss was EXTREMELY acidic.. so if ur using peatmoss, that could be the problem.

again, it could be something totally different. But from the sounds of how ur plants look , thats what mine were looking like.

I'm using FF Ocean Forest soil they turned 3 weeks old yesterday. I did have a PH problem but it was high PH isn't that more alkaline?

I have the same drops ph tester shit..
its not very good for testing the runoff of water from your soil after u water it, digi tester is the way to go whether its soil or hydro.
Cuz with the runoff its not clear anymore , so the color with the drops will be way off.

Yeah I realized that last week when I was checking out my nutes how it would discolor the water. Thats when I ordered the digi. Hopefully the holidays wont clog the shipping up this early . Till then should i just stay off nutes? I made up some water as close to 7.0 as I could with the drops to use if i dont get the digi in time for next water. Thx for the help guys :blsmoke:

Edit: I know over watering is bad but should I flush the plants with the 7.0 water or wait?

I think as long as u get ur main plain old water to around 7.0 or 7.2 , then add the nutes, it wont bring the ph down enough to cause major problems until u get ur digi tester to test ur ph after u add the nutes to the water.
I dont know that for a fact, but it seems reasonable to me.
