Transplanting outdoor plant

Hello! This is my first time growing outdoor. I live in the Midwest and was wondering if it would be a good idea to transplant this into a bigger pot

if you have no neighbour problems or other unwanted guests turning up. i'd go for as large a pot as you can get, as your in a place where plants finnish off properly b4 the end of season, go for it. a few extra pounds of weed never go's a miss

Pot size is one of the determining factors in the size of a plant. It kind of looked to me that it's starting to flower so I don't know what to say. If it was mine I'd go for a bigger pot or in the ground. @go go kid does a lot more pots than I do so you might be well off to listen to him.

I wouldn't worry about transplanting it right now. Disturbing the roots as a heat wave hits may not be the best for the plant. Later on if it dries out too fast or starts to show deficiencies, you can cut the bottom off and bury the bottom third of it in a 15 gallon grow bag.

thanx @DancesWithWeeds. i was just going to mention the ground underneath where the plant will grow, you can dig the ground under the pot and put some dry amendments in there, if you have fish blood n bone and some chicken manure pellets and seaweed meal, you can bung 2 handfulls of each into the soil, (organic amendments tate time to break down if you dont give them a start off in a herb blender. once you have done this, you can cut slits in thge base of your pot and place it directly over your freshly dug and fertilised soil. you can omit the fertilizer, the extra soil that the roots have access to will improve the size of your plant most noticably

Are you just setting the bag on top of the ground or digging it in?
