I was a Herp freak as a kid - 11'+ plus Reticulated, 7' Red tail & several "hot" native snakes.
Fla got over run with the pythons by irresponsible owners & we were moving too much to bring them along. Donated the exotics & released the Rattlers (Diamond backs, Pigmies and a Cottonmouth) back to their homes.

There was a waitress I worked with who would eat the steak fat off customers plates all the time when she was clearing plates. She'd be like "what, they didn't even touch it". I also remember she had a gnarly looking biker dude boyfriend with 1 arm....I didn't even ask! That was my favorite job ever though...

I appreciate you thinking outside the box ... or in this case Rubbermaid bucket ... but no such trustworthy hardware exists. We have those big garbage pails but to be honest, after knowing what has gone into those things over the years, I would rather chew chicken gristle or rib gum.

I also murdered mine. Literally forgot I popped it. Poor dear... I've got another one in the soil, so we shall see! I'm happier for you to be trying the lemon bubble. That one's just a good weed, no goofy mutations to deal with.

It's almost snake season....For the past 2 years, I have had baby snakes in my house in August. Ever since I installed a gas fireplace and holes got drilled in the concrete....which yes, have all been filled. The first year it was "just" the basement, but last year one was in the kitchen.

I did a lot of sealing and I have not seen a snake within 50' of the house, so fingers crossed....Cause I'm not a "Herp". Wish I was, but I don't think there's any chance of me getting friendly with them.
